From your post to God's Reddit.
Ok...so there's this.
For what it's worth. Sorry if already posted. I'm buzzed.
Would NOT be pissed off at all.
Assistant HC Defense? or just consultant?
I think it's a bogus report. Guy already retracted some of his comments.
Shut up X
@Madturk nailed it. The author is a bay area fan who blogs everywhere. His primary source is that tweet from the guy in Vegas who's already backtracked some of his stuff as well.
Stop it already
He was clipped
what I do wrong? just facts.. I have got nothing but love for you Madturk
Settle down, we are good bro. Now when you are emptying out the trash at HQ, see if you can eavesdrop or some shit
I am not hurt over it. I hated the horizontal offense. Third and 15 and they throw the ball behind the line of scrimmage. Some of which was nothing more than padding statistics. I don't feel Cooper is used correctly either. Very conservative and we could stretch the field more.
All that said we could do much worse. We could also do much better..
So you're saying we should expect to either improve or decline next season... unless we stay the same?
I get the move, Downing is the hot guy and already on staff, Musgrave likely did what he cold here already. Carr had to have been on board for this.
The talent level between Carr and McGloin is huge, and asking redshirt who has taken zero snaps with the first team O for a 17 weeks and gets one week of practice, fine. But you game plan to the strength of your players. 7 starting QBs in seven seasons, down there in Houston.
So it seems the evidence is there how much of this was Carr vs. OC. Yet, by the same logic Carr both bailed out the D late in games and his ability to move the ball and put points on the board took pressure off the D. If this is a 4-win team without Carr, it's a 1-win team when you account for how poorly the D played.
Agreed that there is more talent on O than showed most Sundays. Would argue corollary that there is by orders of magnitude more talent than showed on D all season. So Norton stays?
That will be bad for us if Musgrave winds up as OC in DEN. Shades of Gruden, anyone?
And yes, they're talking about it. If DEN can't land McCoy, it looks like Musk is their backup plan.
Does Denver have Derek Carr as their QB? Yeah, I'm not worried.
Not getting the Musgrave/Gruden comparison at all...
Did they have him this year?
It's not their damn offense I'm worried about, it's how Musgrave can tutor their D in such a way as to smother and/or kill us and our franchise QB.
JUST LIKE SB XXXVII.
And BTW, Elway has been known to pick up QBs who INSTANTLY take the team to a new level. You have no idea who will be throwing the rock next year.
It concerns me that I seem to be the only one who consistently THINKS before he posts.
Am I completely blanking out on Gruden being our OC and leaving for the same position with a division rival after his contract expired... or maybe I missed when Musgrave was our head coach and we traded him to the NFC. Or maybe it's because their personalities are so similar.
A homeless mans Gunther Cunningham maybe...
