NSFW: Random Thoughts & Such, Because Raider Nation is a Thread Locking Douche Nozzle

I fear we've reached the "yelling fire in a crowded theater" point with these bullshit tabloid rumor mongerers.
There was a day and age where people were well rounded in their thoughts and could figure out the difference. When SNL wasn't relevant to presidential addresses and the addresses weren't coming through rage tweets.

I'm not convinced there ever was. I believe we're simply seeing the tragic results of media and politicians pushing the bullshit to new depths because they've finally realized what religious leaders have known for millennia: People are dumb animals who will believe anything they're told at face value if you ramp up the fear and us vs them language.

Just gotta have a feel for your target audience. Pick the right "Them" to blame or create horror myths about and you'll have them eating the shit up as fast as you can push it from your ass.

Fucking Aussies man. straight Savage ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ:pound::yikes::eek:

Sad days my dude. Zealots on both sides refusing to listen and stick to their bullshit partisan "news" sources. Ain't gonna lie. I read alot.of stuff from the uber liberal "vice news", but damn I can see the bias at least

And the hits just keep on coming.

It's just flat out easier to pick a side and blindly homer. That way you can at least find a candidate pretends to represent your views.

Being rational about it comes with the understanding that there's never going to be someone that truly represents everyone's best interests.

It isn't that they "just realized it." They've known about it and the Telecommunications Act in 1996 allowed them to exploit it. In school, we learned about the era of "Yellow Journalism" and the ringleaders of the day were all vilified for their contributions. Right now, those motherfuckers are spinning in their respective graves with what media folks get away with in today's day and age.

And, yes, their was a time when we knew how to navigate our way through the bullshit. That was back when schools still taught critical thinking, without worrying that their budgets would be slashed on account of performance on standardized testing.

What we have today is a far larger minefield of absolute horse shit to navigate with fewer people having learned the skills needed for said navigation.

When I said "just realized", I didn't mean they just realized that absolute and utter bullshit could be sold to the masses as indisputable truth. I meant they've finally realized there's no need to restrain themselves when manufacturing and distributing bullshit.

Turns out, absolutely & utterly absurd bullshit sells at least as well as the mid-grade, and boy does it stir up a crowd!

It only makes sense, then, this new Mass Manure Media Machine would now be joined at the hip with an ever-growing collection of creationists and anti-science/anti-reality cabinet for a president who may very well be Grade A fertilizer wrapped in an Ed Gein inspired skin suit.

They really are going to test the limits of american credulity, or prove that such limits don't exist, and the nihilist in me is fascinated.

The rest of me that can't stand it.

Don't blame a whole religion on this....

Russian ambassador to turkey assassinated on camera today!

Our president is officially a fucking fanboy sidekick to Putin. Even quoting him with a hey girlfriend endorsement of "so true!". WTF is this pussy ass nonsense?

At the risk of sounding conspiracy minded, mainstream Washington repugs (the ones we were calling fringe, or accused of pandering to the fringe just a few years ago) have been paving the way for this for a while now.

They couldn't stop at saying "Obama is a weak leader" or he doesn't "project strength." No. They went the extra mile, doubling down, time and again, by singling out Vlad "The Invader" Putin, arguably (or inarguably) our biggest rival on the world stage, felating him with every conservative mouthpiece on payroll, praising him as the type of leader 'murica needs, and if not lionizing him, certainly Reaganizing him, as being everything their president is not.

Does that shameful behavior, which might have constituted treason a generation or two ago, have any connection to Trump's escalating "Putin is my homeboy" attitude, or Russia's tampering with our election? Probably not. But I'd feel like a real mark if I didn't ask that question outloud so that sharper minds than mine could at least give it 5 minutes of consideration.

And I forget which teacher it was...I can't even remember whether it was an elementary or junior high teacher...but she used to kick my ass with the red pen over some run-on sentences.

"One of these commas needs to be a period."

Fuck you, lady. I'll slap a period at the end of my thought/point. Who made you the authority and final voice on how many commas is too many?

Suck it, you old hag. Thank you. Comma 'gain.
