I've never been a country music guy. But Chris Stapleton might get some play here and there. I don't care what he calls it, this is some smooth ass blues singing right here.

 
Watching George (dude on the right hand side) try to process this song was a trip. He did not appear comfortable.

Immortal Technique is dope. If you like that, check out Jean Gray. Not as political but she does not give a fuck.

Nice, I prefer smaller venues now.

Never was a huge STP fan but they did have a couple of decent songs back in the early days.
 
STP, after Weiland got kicked out of Velvet Revolver (and was fresh out of rehab), was the best rock show I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I could watch them now that Scott’s gone.

When you replace an iconic front man, it just becomes a cover band IMO.

That's why I'm glad the guys from Nirvana just decided to move on after Kurt's death.

So, in listening to this song a couple of times now, I don’t think I’m a fan after all. I think that while it represents two sides, both of those sides are too extreme to really speak to how most people feel, and therefore doesn’t really advance the dialogue or move us forward. I appreciate that the first part is there to draw the young, dumb, alt-right kid in, get him invested in the song, and then counter-punch with the other perspective before offering something at the very, very end that’s conciliatory... and if they change one mind, good for them.... but it plays way too heavily on ignorant-ass stereotypes (on both sides) to really move me.
 
I heard a version of Hot Rod Lincoln that was so cool yesterday.But can't find it.Don't remember who it was.Not the Commander Cody version either.

I mean, it’s not really something that I’m going to listen to over and over but I think he did a good job of nailing the things racist people that don’t think they’re racist say. I pay my taxes, get over slavery, etc. I think it gets progressively more extreme as the verse goes by design. I’d agree that the second verse loses some steam but overall I think it’s well done and fairly insightful.
