MEJ

I am think 15ish snaps would be a nice start.

I imagine it will depend on team performance and Edwards's performance. But I would like to see closer to 20 or 25 defensive snaps from Edwards.

Autry and Ward combined for 93 snaps last week (135%) of potential defensive snaps. And the Raiders would be much better off if they could take that number down a bit. Especially with McGee still sidelined.

As I just posted, I think the Raiders held Mario out of the Chargers game to get him a little more conditioning during the week (no need to have an off day on Monday). So I hope Mario can take on a bigger role as he's activated.

That's part of issue I have with him, he seems to be a good guy who works hard. I'd like to hate him for how bad he's playing but I can't because I know he's been thrown in over his head. Hopefully MEJ can teach him.

I think Ward adds some strength this off season coupled with better technique and a lot of game experience and comes back and has a really good year two. JDR compared him to Malik Jackson, who also had to get stronger and learn the ropes. Dude was playing WR not too long ago. Right now this pick doesn't look so good, but I think it will eventually look great. I think the kid has the frame and the mindset to be really good.

Hope you are right because Calhoun hasn't looked very good either. I see more from Shrek when he's out there. Two potential whiffs by Red there.

If Cowser has the brains to become assignment sound, he could become a solid meat and potatoes back-up.

Mario has been activated. A little shocked to see Calhoun go on the IR though.
Didn't see that coming. Perhaps his knee didn't respond well to practice. Cowser time.

JDR reportedly said 25 snaps or so for MEJ.

So what we have 3 LB's on IR and one on suspension. Ball, Heeney, Calhoun and Smith. I think if I could have one of those back I might pick Ball. He looked like he may be able to cover a TE in his short time playing.

I did, and wrote pretty much that. Cowser has far out-produced Calhoun in fewer games.
Cowser playing better didn't mean one of the other guys wouldn't go down if Calhoun was healthy. Calhoun practiced on a limited basis early in the week, but was a non-participant last practice.
