Those old Jews were pushing the envelope back in the day. Some of the shit was corny compared to stuff now but I still get a chuckle here and there.

Monty Python is totally lost on me. Airplane still stands the rest of time. It was brilliant to cast dramatic actors like Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, and Lloyd Bridges in their first comedic roles. Neilsen’s deadpanned delivery is so damn funny. I loved all the early Zucker movies like Top Secret, Kentucky Fried Movie (which could NEVER be made in this day) and Naked Gun.

I forgot about Kentucky Fried Movie. It was hilarious but haven't seen it in years.I'm wondering if it's still as funny.Just like another favorite.Bachelor Party was one of my favorites. But some parts just little 80s corny now.

But I still love The Blues Brothers. Always will.

There is NOTHING corny about Bachelor Party! Tom Hanks’ greatest film.

Monty Python and British humor in general, tend to be lost on most Americans. I grew up watching Monty Python, or rather, watching it from the hallway while my parents watched, as I was supposed to be asleep. I've always loved it. My wife thinks its idiotic and can't understand how anyone would think it's funny.
There's been a number of British shows that tried to be made over here in the States and almost every one failed. I think the only one that was really successful was The Office and from what I understand (never watched it), it was drastically changed in tone and style to fit American audiences.
I love Mel Brooks and the Zucker movies and all of those sorts that are completely absurd. The absurdity of it all is what makes it great.

80s stuff is the best. Perfect blend of innocence, excess, and inappropriateness.

I think A Fish Called Wanda is the funniest movie ever.

80’s everything was awesome. It had the best music, movies, tv shows (what other decade will put out a classic tv show like “Manimal”?)

I don’t know if it qualifies as British humor, but the cartoon Danger Mouse back in the day was tits! Another reason the 80’s ruled!

You either loved Monty Python or hated it. Benny Hill was silly slapstick shit but funny as hell.

Watched the Foo Fighters documentary last night. I like their music. Didn't realize the connection with Nirvana and the Seattle punk scene. Dave Grohl a bit of an egomaniac
