Loved him in Wolf of Wall Street
He’s made a lot of good movies... don’t really get the hate.
He's what my grandmother would have referred to as smarmy.
I reserve my hate for George Clooney. He's a douche plus his movies suck ass.
Is it fucked up that I’ve never seen a movie with Daniel Day Lewis in it?
More like good fortune.
Dude over acts to the point of being a parody.
I hate smug fucks like Clooney, Damon, and Julie Roberts, but From Dusk Till Dawn was a masterpiece.
It’s not intentional really, just coincidence.
If you haven't seen Gangs of New York then yes.
There Will be Blood worth a watch as well. But that's like 2 movies out like 30?
He killed both of those movies for me.
His style is just too over the top.
@gst8 I want to party with Johnny and kick Danny’s ass.
Fuck yeah I love how they flipped that shit!
So I’m watching Blazing Saddles and I just can’t see the humor. I can’t even fake a laugh. Maybe it’s because I just finished Airplane and few movies, if any, can match it laugh for laugh.
By the third movie I was rooting for the Barnes character to kick the shit outta Danny boy. Such a whiny little twat.
If you didn't grow up in the era and with the actors, it does lose a bit of its luster. I still think its fantastic, but oh so wrong. Nips watches it to get ready for his camping trips.
Mel Brooks was great though.
Parts of it are hilarious. Yet some of the potty humor seems a bit forced. It was edgy at the time.Love the part where sheriff holds himself hostage.
Count Basie on the open prairie. Makes no sense but funny as hell.
Your second sentence literally describes half the movie.
I vaguely remember watching it but don't remember much of it. Same with Airplane. Never watched any of the Monty Python stuff either. Watched a lot of standup stuff younger, Eddie Murphy, Def Comedy Jam, Richard Pryor (on tape lol), etc. but I think it was mostly like Police Academy and Revenge of the Nerds that I remember being funny to me as a kid. Oh, and The Jerk. That shit cracked me up.
