Endgame: pretty fucking epic.
No doubt. I told my wife that I now had a body of Thor that I could achieve.
Interesting choices they made at some of the points, including the wrap up scenes at the end. I like that it finishes this giant arc and allows for the next one to start.
Kinda bummed they skipped over Bucky as the new Captain America. I guess he’s supposed to be the White Wolf in this iteration but Anthony Mackie is pretty boring. The Winter Soldier angle would have been more interesting IMO.
That was one of the interesting choices I was referring to. Just didn't want to put anything spoilery on here yet. I half expected him to toss it to Bucky after he said that it didn't feel like it was his.
Seemed like a bait and switch after that scene with Bucky and the shield in Winter Soldier. I’m guessing they intended on him taking over but didn’t anticipate the success of Black Panther and had to build that world after the fact. Also never really followed up on Bucky being the one that killed Tony Stark’s dad outside of the confrontation. Just think there was opportunity for that character outside of being a sidekick.
Too true. Bucky made more sense, as he did it first in the comics, he has partial Super Soldier in him and he has the tighter connection to Steve. While they made him White Wolf, I don't think they'll follow the same path with him as the one from the comics, as he isn't truly connected to Wakanda and won't have a desire to rule it. Perhaps they'll modify it and bring Bucky into that mini-world with a modified version of White Wolf.
As far as killing elder Stark and not much coming from it, I don't sweat it too much, as it falls under the easy "brainwashed" umbrella and can move on.
Sam, AKA Falcon, may have the heart, but unless they can modify him, doesn't have the "oomph" in this world. It looks like his suit got a minor update for his quick fight sequence, so we'll see.
I can live with the character becoming Captain America although it’s clearly an afterthought considering they already laid the groundwork for Bucky (I can’t even remember when Falcon entered the movie universe tbh). It’s the actor that I’m not jazzed about. Just no personality whatsoever. I think Captain America and Superman are probably the most difficult characters to portray given their personalities are already a little boring. Maybe this guy will surprise. Shit, I’m not even sure if Captain America will appear in phase 4 actually.
If you guys aren’t watching the Robert Johnson documentary on Netflix, I’m just not sure.
thanks for reminding me. GOT tonight tho!
I just about messed up. Went into the thread without paying attention to the title and almost clicked on the spoilers thinking they were cheesecake pics.
So not only would have I fucked up Endgame for myself, I wouldn't have even gotten any boobage to make up for it.
Gotta love Mondays.
Not going to post spoilers but I thought it was well written and explained. My only complaint is Captain Marvel has the charisma of Reggie McKenzie!
It’s possible her character was a late add to the MCU overall plan.
Scarlet Witch on the other hand...Magic Tits!
How is West World ? Anyone watching or watched it?
Love it. Great fucking show.
Yep just got back from Endgame. Wow. Really good. I somehow managed to not have to take a piss the entire time lol.
Loved what CPT America did you n the final fight seen, theatre went nuts when it happened (won’t spoil it)....
I watched a couple of episodes I’ll have to check it out after GOT is done. Was pretty interesting.
It’s kind of a mind fuck show that you have to get through the entire season(s) for the payoff. Just the world building alone makes it worth the ride though.
@Madturk I watched that RJ doc today, pretty interesting! Wish there was more of his music in it though. You see Muscle Shoals yet?
Yah I watched Muscle Shoals that was really good.
Holy fuck Rival Sons kicked ass last night.
