Consider me disappointed when Gruden made it sound like we weren't bringing in competition for Giorgio. He was okay but still bottom tier for kickers.
 
I have to admit, this is not a useless thread. It could actually be the title thread of something most of us are guilty of, having a “jihad” for a player....And it was funny? Well played my man.

I remember a pre season SI article on the Raiders in the late 90s that highlighted Araguz as Raiders best player. Ugh

We were so bad, for so long. Gruden brought us out of the desert for 3 or 4 years, then hardened his heart and shipped us right back into the desert to start 2003. And here we've been ever since.

Ok so in the spirit of this thread, I have a new Jihad as well....It’s strange how it happened....I’m scrolling through Facebook and I see an interview of former Raiders RB Napoleon Kaufman. So I’m like, damn let me watch a highlight video of one of my favorite Raiders. Great stuff. Then last night I’m scrolling through some local news stuff and I see a plug for an NC State player...Nyheim Hines. RB....This dude reminds me a lot of the old Pastor with his insane burst, stature, good hands and terrific lateral agility. The ability to take in a lot of carries. The return game....Damn he’d be a perfect 3rd round “lightning” to Beastmode’s “Thunder”.....

Yeah the guys arms looked rediculous on him. I remember the first time I saw him play, a home loss against Dallas when both teams were off to a hot start. The guy was just electric. I remember saying to myself in that game, you saw possibly 3 of the fastest 10 or so guys at the time to have played. Kaufman’s burst was sick. But damn remember the bomb Hostetler threw to Rocket Ismail? Fuckin Deion Sanders just goes into “ludicrous speed”, over takes him and makes the pick....Insane how fast Deion was at full stride. Deion, Bo and Moss at full stride might be the fastest 3 players I’ve ever seen on the field. Tyreke Hill of KC is up there too. Just lightning.
