Anybody know if the rumour is true that last year the coaches gave Russell a DVD of that weeks opponent and asked him the next day about what he saw, and he gave generic answers and commented on it and in reality the DVD was blank?

Anybody ever hear of this. Someone posted on another board that it was in a newspaper article
 
I heard that too.It was Cable that gave him the DVD.2 said he "was on board".But it was blank....Thought I heard that here.

I agree. I have never seen any evidence that this "actually" happened. I've heard it in this message board and thats it.

In reality, it doesn't really matter at this point.

To all teams pondering adding JaMarcus Russell to the training-camp roster (and there will be one that does, because of his tremendous arm), ponder this:

In Russell's last 31 quarters as an Oakland starting quarterback, this guy with the tremendous arm threw one touchdown pass. That's a phenomenal run of badness, even worse than putting up only 55 points in his last seven starts as a Raider.

Personally, I'm having too much fun kicking the lazy bastard when he's down. If he'd given 3/10th's of a damn while he played for us, I'd be willing to just say goodbye and good riddance. But since that wasn't the case, I think a little post-Gump razzing is more than justified.

My only regret is that I will probably never again have a reason to use the word "sizzurp" in a sentence for the rest of my life. But you gotta take the bad with the good...
