Yes. All that looks good. I’m excited about all of those positions That’s very, very optimistic.... because that’s a whole fuckton of “maybe” and “I hope” and “this time it’ll be different.” Bullshit. 17-0
Anyone care to wager that the Brownies won’t be back on the outside looking in at the playoffs again next year??
Nobody tanks for three years, spanning 3, 1, and 0 win seasons. Don’t even pretend that they planned that out - they just sucked.
Sure I'll put my Karl Joseph chinese ebay knockoff jersey on the board if they miss the playoffs. What will you send me when the Raiders miss the playoffs?
Two years ago Tampa drafted in the top 5, one spot behind us. They just won a SB. Up until year before last, SF was the only team worse than us over the past 10 years and now they've been in a SB and are about to swing on a franchise QB. You already mentioned Miami. We've seen some many teams rise and fall while we're just wallowing in nowhere land year after year. Fuck trying to convince me that we're on schedule, or things are pointed in the right direction, or that we're doing the same thing every other team does.
So what? We have 3 SB trophies and the greatest winning percentage of any sports teams for decades! Everyone has a history. Guess what, it’s history. The only relevant history is the outcome of the prior year and what it says about the likely performance of people in the building. It takes one good draft. Don’t fuck this up Gruyock! #FuckYouBullshit
So, if we're acknowledging that sucking is a more viable way to improve than tread-milling then intentionally sucking would seem to be the most viable way to achieve that.
We aren’t acknowledging that sucking is a more viable way to improve. We’re acknowledging that the Browns sucked for a long time. Really, if sucking was a great way to improve we would have more than only one playoff appearance in twenty-ish years.
But you're supporting @Nobodyinparticular 's point that the Browns are better now because they've been worse historically. Unless I'm misunderstanding.
The Browns are now improving year by year. The Raiders are still running in place after hiring the savior Gruden. Bad hire.
There's nothing this regime has done that has given me any optimism that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that we are finally turning the corner. Horrible drafting, and head scratching FA signings/personnel decisions along with signing questionable coaching talent. Maybe we get lucky and get to 11-6, 10-7 but I think its more likely we see something like 5-12, 6-11. I am really trying to find a silver lining but I honestly don't see it.
