What a joke. Thoughts?
couldn't make things worse!
Seriously! Sick of this shit! But is it really Norton tho??
What took you so long to make this one?
He sure ain't helping.
Just posted this in the game thread but I'll repost here...
This defense just an extension of the AD defensive philosophy. Everything is predicted on outstanding individual play. That's not going to change just by firing the DC.
So.It's Al's fault.Really?
::ducks for cover::
Is that what you inferred there?
I'll admit I'm joking a bit.But that's kind of what I got.
I was all for keeping him on and giving him a chance at redemption based on the fact we are starting a lot of new faces on D. I think he's had long enough. This defense hasn't improved at all. Today I thought it was the worst showing. Communication is egregious. Mack and Irvin have not been used correctly. Nelson has no clue what's going on. Almoay every play there is a gaping hole somewhere on the field that gets exploited. Heads gotta roll.....JDR looked as if he was calling plays in the second half.
Nah, just that JDR seems to subscribe to the same philosophy of everything being predicted on the players. If so, firing Norton won't matter because we'll still be calling the same vanilla defense that demands prime Baltimore Ravens level players to be effective.
Before the season, would you want our personnel or the Cowboys? I think everybody would have said ours, yet Rod Marinelli can figure out how to get it done with the shit he's got, and our defense looks like they don't get coached every week.
He didn't learn that in Baltimore. They've been aggressive on defense since Marvin Lewis was DC. JDR just is a conservative coach by nature imo, and he needs to loosen things up.
Post game tweets make it seem like JDR is pissed at Norton. As he should be...
I'd love to hear the presser but the wife decided this would be a great time to vacuum...
Mine does shit like that too. Mostly cuz she knows it bugs me...
I tried to tell you guys but you wouldn't listen. We were winning in spite of our atrocious D but our luck was bound to run out.
That and we don't currently match up well with KC.
@Raidervinny is happy. He was right.
It's better to be right than consistent - Al Davis
We do have a pretty awful D.
Is that Norton's fault? Firing Norton could not possibly hurt.
