    Pretty interesting fight tomorrow night.

    http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2/headlines//EkklVuFFpygUfsZihZ.html

Pulling for Pacquiao, but I'm not a basher of De le Hoya. This really is set up well for Oscar to go out in style if he can use his superior size and KO Pacman, but then again, if Manny can handle the heavier hands and Oscar is the isn't busy (the last 5 years basically) then Pacquiao will win - easily.

    My Prediction?

I think Oscar will KO Manny, but I would prefer to see the little dude win.

Boxing is boring, once MMA hit the scene, boxing has been in decline. I don't think will ever go away, but its not like it was and I doubt it will ever be again.

You're right... but I still love it. It's a "classic" fighting technique, rather than "do anything possible to get the other guy down" (minus a kick in the nuts)...

Don't get me wrong. I like MMA too, but boxing requires more skill IMO.

Boxing depends, if your Lennox Lewis it requires no skill.. just hug a guy anytime he comes inside your reach.

I like MMA, and Boxing.. they both have different reasons to watch. Sometimes boxing is exciting, other times its just two guys standing 'feeling' each other out. MMA, sometimes it exciting, other times its just a guy laying on his back with the other guy walking around him.

A good boxing match.. was pacquiao vs marquez (the first one) I remember watching De La Hoya on USA fights haha, that was back in the day.

MMA, I prefer WEC to anything else.. honestly.. I was upset however when my boy Urijah Faber got beat a little while back..

I'll say this.. some people find heavyweight exciting, but not me.. thats one reason I like the WEC, the 145 weight class is brutal.. and in boxing the smaller the better for me.. those guys fight hard.

    Well said.

I was never into heavyweight either... they get tired too fast.

The exciting thing (for me), is that MMA is becoming its own discipline. You don't see pure BJJ, Mui Tai, etc. fighters attempting to cross over into the MMA arena anymore. This new generation of fighters began studying the "art" of MMA from the very begining. As the sport evolves, boxing will slowly become extinct IMO.

I like both sports for different reasons, though I've been watching MMA/UFC more regularly over the past 2 years. Much more in fact.

I would disagree that boxing requires more skill than MMA. Obviously boxers are more polished punchers than most MMA fighters, but the fact that MMA fighters must be able to box, kick and grapple makes them extremely skilled in my estimation.

Anyone have thoughts on this weekend's UFC card?

Chuck Liddell was an amazing fighter, but I'm suprised that Dana White is allowing him to fight at this juncture.

He is way beyond is prime and has become KO prone. Once guys start to get KO'd on a regular basis, they should really retire. He has lost the ability to take a punch. It happens to all fighters eventually.

At this point, he will only tarnish his legacy further. Even if he defeats Franklin this Saturday, I don't believe he has a snowball's chance in hell to challenge for the 205 title ever again.

The division is stacked with Rua, Machida, Evans, Belfort, Jon Jones, Thiago Silva, etc.

All that being said, I will be front and center watching it.

There is some potential that it MIGHT be an exciting fight as both fighters prefer to strike versus wrestle.
