Warriors in on Gasol. If we miss on him I could see Baynes and then maybe Cousins? They need someone who can shoot and teach Wiseman the ropes

Batum would be good too. He's made an obscene amount of money so he might sign cheaper then expected

That back up PG sounds like a decent bargain for a steady role player. Not gonna excite anyone but you need some steady pros to fill out the roster w youth

Lakers just keep adding more quality players with Harrell and Schroeder to an already stacked roster while Dubs signing meh players like Wanamaker.

We better hope some of these young guys Like Wiseman can develop into quality players.

Wanamaker is a decent backup PG. supposedly lead the league in free throw percentage and second in catch and shoot 3 point percentage. Nice low key signing. Sounds like we haven’t had the DPE approved yet so for the time neuter only have the MLE and vet minimum contracts to offer.

I heard we were in on JJ Reddick before we signed Oubre

I’d say with this lineup we are probably looking at a #7 or # 8 seed in the West. That’s assuming that Steph doesn’t go down again. I think even with a healthy Klay we are a low seed. Wiggins was a horrible signing

Couldn’t get the trade worked out.

I dunno... I might like Oubre better. Younger and more athletic, better defender. Reddick is obviously a Klay level shooter but he’s also known to come up small when it counts.

This team is built to run teams out of the gym now. I’d like to see Steph off ball with a downhill PG pushing it to Wiggins, Oubre, and Wiseman or kicking it out to Steph for 3’s. Money.

Kent Bazemore back in the house.

I think the Warriors will have a tough time getting past the Clippers & Lakers in the playoffs without Klay. And they may end up a middle lower playoff seed when its all said and done. But I think the window is still firmly open for another 3-4 years with all the assets they have. Im sure there will be a million discussions about it but Im feeling ok about as long as Klay comes back at 70%ish. I still think the Warriors will sneak another championship while Draymond, Klay & Curry are on the team. Even if they have rough contracts.

Wiggins at the very least represents a HUGE salary chunk to bargain with. Oubre also. Wiseman could be a stud, Paschall could be a starting level player soon. The Warriors could end up with 2 top ten draft picks next season if they are shitty. The Wolves are not a playoff team right now IMO. So there is way too much going well for the Warriors asset wise for them to fall off.

Maybe we see some painful reshuffling (Dray trade etc) but the future is bright and Steph will be an MVP candidate next year. Dont sleep on him getting a year of good rest after that 5 year finals run. Klay may not be right until he is 32, but he could still have another 2-3 solid years as a sniper after that (Ray Allen type). I think we kinda forget that were talking about two of the top 5 shooters to ever play basketball. They will age ok.

Clippers don’t scare me but yeah odds are against us competing for a championship next year. I’d be happy getting into the playoffs and Steph re-establishing himself as the premier PG in the league. There’s this idea that Dame is on Steph’s level now that needs to die. There are plenty of rivalries in the West to keep the season interesting.

It’s probably a make or break year for Draymond given he has the most most moveable contract of the bunch and a win now team would snap him up in a heartbeat. He’s also close with Lacob though so maybe untouchable for now. We really need him right now with a rookie center and a couple of undisciplined players in Wiggins and Oubre.

Fack. Guys going there like the guys that were coming to us a few years ago.

Not much left in FA huh.

Be nice to find some shooting somewhere. Gr3 still out there too

Supposedly we have interest in Batum. I guess that's good.

He basically got his contract off of teams trying to replicate what we were doing with the death lineup.

Been pretty much an injury bust since though.

DPE approved.

Chances are we wait and see how the season is going before deciding whether to use it. I read somewhere that a league minimum contract costs over $10m due to the lux tax. That’s insane.

They actually got a little tax break when the new rules came out (in relation to the salary cap/tax penalty) So while Lacob is shelling out big money, they likely were planning on it anyway. If that tax break didn't happen they would be paying like 30% more or something (not sure)

But im guessing they planned on spending big to stay competitive. When the new Chase Center is in full swing the money will come back ten fold. Long term investment. Keeping Curry happy and the team competitive will help them keep winning /help w adding guys like Gasol (discount vets who wanna win) over the next 2-3 years while they compete with the core 3.

If Wiseman hits and we get a top draft pick from the Wolves this team is set. They have tons of assets to use. They will add PJ Tucker or someone before the playoff run w that DPE (probably wait to see how the season plays out, could also take a bum and pick/player) Maybe they move Wiggins or Oubre if things go weird etc. Draymond could be had for the right price in the right situation. Should be interesting going forward. Luckily they have some good young pieces & picks
