Draft Day 3 (2019) - filling the gaps

I think there is a distinction between fast and quick.

Renfrow is quick. In and out of breaks, stopping and starting. Hand movements, turns, head fakes, how he runs a route etc.

He's not gonna beat many DB's in a race but I think he can carve out a good spot if we use him properly.

A guy like Sammie Coates can run 40 yards in a straight line faster than most people on the planet but he doesnt have any nuance or quickness.

Only freaks like Hill have good long speed while being relatively short. Renfrow scored well on the agility stuff from what I can tell so he’s probably being a little underrated athletically.

Sure am not going to overate Renfrow as an athlete. Guessing there’s not too many NFL players like him physically either.

But perhaps the best slot WR in the NFL, Adam Thielen, although physically bigger and faster, looks kinda like the same athlete in space.

Theres players all over the NFL around the 5 10/ 5 11 mark who run 4. 3s / 4.4s, theyr everywhere.

But Renfrow has innate ability to get open and make big catches. Hope he can do the same in the pros

Renfrow’s first step, beat out Grant, J.J. Nelson and Doss. Until he does that, he’s just another rookie trying to make the team.

If your telling me that there isnt tons of guys in the NFL 5'11 and under that run 4.3's /4.4s then your wrong imo, if your telling me that you agree there is tons of guys like that, then the comment that only freaks like tyreek Hill are shorter guys with great long speed is incorrect, which was all i was saying.

4 of the 18 WRs that ran less than a 4.5 at this years combine where under 6'. Maybe a couple more got drafted that didn't have combine invites. There are a few every year that come in the league as others wash out. So no, there are not a "tons" of guys like that running around in the NFL.

There really is, Brian burt, JJ Nelson and Keishaun Nixon are 3 we'v brought in just this off season who are all 5'11 or under and ran 4.3s/4.4s ar there combine/pro days, Nelson even quicker,two are udfas. Thats just our team in one off season. Even Deandre Washington ran in the 4.4's. Most of the top combine 40's ever have been run by guys 5'11 or under, the top 5 combine 40'srecorded- John Ross, Rondel Menendez, Chris Johnson, Dri Archer, Jerone Mathis...All 5'11 or under. Respectfuly agree to disagree on this one.
