Combine is only a few days away, I figured we could post that stuff here to keep it simple.

I've got quite a few players I'm interested in seeing at the combine and think a good showing could really boost their stock. Here are a few names I want to see.

  • Nathan Sheppard- So little tape on this kid, and was suposedly kicking ass at the Sr Bowl.
  • Vita Vea- Supossed to be highly athletic for big man, I want to see him back it up.
  • Taven Bryan- Has a great 1st step, but I question if he has great agility
  • Maurice Hurst- I wonder if he's as quick and agile as people think.
  • Hercules Mata'afa- This kid may have the most to prove at the combine. Position drills will be huge for the former 250 lb DT can he transition to LB.
  • Josh Sweat- Just how athletic is he? Some say he's going to run in the 4.4's at 6'5" 250
  • Josh Jackson- Need to see if he has long speed.
  • Orlando Brown- Can he move well enough to get the job done at the next level.
  • Chubb, and Freeman- How much have injuries slowed them dowm. Are they better athletes than given credit for. Were they holding back after the injuries.
These are just a few of the names I want to see. I'm less interested in Barkley, Roquan, Edmunds and a few others. They have already shown me enough on tape to know they are good athletes.

Any other players you guys want to see?

R. Smith - Is he elite enough athletically at his size to back up the tape?

M. Hurst - See above

Harold Landry/Davenport - The two DE’s we should have on the board at 9/10, how freaky are they really?

Guice/Johnson/Michel/Kelley/Chubb/and our beloved SDSU kid - I would bet money we are drafting one of these guys at some point. The first four I think are all gonna test very well. How much has Chubb lost since the injuries? How will Penney test? If we are running a lot of inside zone, Penney and Johnson really stand out as fits from this list. Penney’s vision was on display at the senior bowl. Huge fan.

Edmunds- If this guy tests like Urlacher with his upside it’s gonna be hard not to pull the trigger early for some team.

Goedert - Might be the best receiving threat in the draft, could be an option in round two. Gonna be fun to see if he puts up Kelce type numbers.

When it comes to Smith and Edmunds I think I've seen enough on tape to know they are fast enough.

I want to see their measurements. Like how long are Edmunds arms. Looks like he has 40" arms... ok maybe 35"...

Really want to see how the RBs do. So many guys that are rated pretty similarly. Curious to see if anyone separates themselves.

My most anticipated combine in a few years.

Some numbers I want to see to cement weird rankings I have, some sizes I want to see come in official, I hope most of the guys participate.

RB/mid late WR/TE/LB numbers will be fun.

Vita Vea, DT, Washington
There will be no bathroom breaks by scouts or coaches when it is Vea’s turn on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium. NFL evaluators are eager to see the show, with many expecting Vea to run a sub-5.00 40-yard dash at 340-plus pounds — just like Dontari Poe in 2012.

Taven Bryan, DT, Florida
Bryan was considered one of the most athletic players on the Florida roster, not just the defensive line. His game is very streaky; positive numbers in the agility and movement drills will help dissipate some of the doubt.

Derwin James, S, Florida State
They might rename the Combine after James once he’s done.

If we pick Vea, I'll be so happy that I'll take a bathroom break right then and there...

Reggie is going to have his work cut out fucking this first round pick up for me.

I’m sure he’s up for the challenge though.

The only guy I’m sure I don’t want is the Bama DB.

As of last year we still did not have anyone stopping TE's or RB's from gutting us in the passing game. James looks like a hybrid LB type SS. Move Kujo to FS. Obi can earn snaps in the big nickel, CB etc. If James destroys the combine and teams think he can cover. We already know he can tackle and hit. Size check.

I think he is the most slept on guy so far. He had insane hype coming into college. Look great until that injury.

Come to think of it, didn’t we try and hire the Bama DB coach or something like that?

Fuck.

If we think he can play WILL I'm all for it.

Fuck.

We hired their assistant CB coach to be our CB coach. Not sure how much direct interaction he would have had with their safeties, but I imagine he can speak to the work ethic, mental stability, off-field associations, etc. of any Bama DB or defensive player in general.
