College Football Thread (2016)

You gotta love that he's outta there soon.

He's gone. I know they honored him on Senior Day this year because they knew he was leaving. They got another #1 QB in the nation coming in though. I know Chad Kelly is bumping some coke, going that was supposed to be me.

Was Kiffin worth 4 points?

Wasn't going to make a difference. The tempo did it. Wore tehm down in the 4th quarter because Clemson ran 90+ plays, which is what I said you have to do to beat them and why Saban hates those offenses. He was smart not to go gangbusters with it until the second half. That's what always dooms Ole Miss.....they start quick and then wear their own defense out by scoring too quick or getting too many 3 and outs.

I'm being a dick obviously, but if we are being realistic guys like Beasley, Witten and Zeke caught like 200 of his passes about 5 yards from the LOS.

I got Green Bay next week.

You know I do. I've been saying for weeks that starting a rookie in the playoffs is a recipe to lose.

Anyone else notice the Reptilian Cop standing behind Dabo? Gonna have to see if I can get that image. Had a creepy eye

Mike fucking Williams.

Wow.

Yes. All game long I was like....this guy is the best player on the field...beat a 1st round corner, who SHOULD match up well with him all night. I wish we drafted higher enough to take him. Move Crabs to the slot.

Gotta think Kiffin would have come up with a few more drives that at least killed some time. 15 of their drives consumed LESS than 2:00 minutes. The 99 plays that Clemson ran is a direct result of the poor play-calling of Alabama. The 3 and outs really killed them.

Kiffin wouldn't have done shit. The problem is that Hurts can't really throw that well. When they lost their running game, they were basically fucked.

Gonna call bullshit on that. Hurts has had the same limitations all year. Also, they didn't 'lose their running game'. Yeah, Bo is a helluva RB, but you mean to tell me that this team has depth everywhere but that position?

It was just horrible playcalling...plain and simple. I believe that had they kept the guy that had been calling plays all year and was responsible for the game plan up until the week before this game that yes, he would have called a more successful game.

That's the point Vinny. They've had that same problem the whole year or did you miss the game against Washington? That's why that kid preventing their defense from scoring early in the 2nd half, something they did a lot to pad that nonexistent passing game all year, was such a big deal when it happened since they held them to an FG. Problem was that Washington didn't have a QB athletically the caliber of Watson, something I pointed out before that game of why they had no chance to win, and they didn't lose their RB who ran up their ass to put that game away break his leg a quarter before they usually break teams. I said all of this last week of how and why they would lose.

No one said they don't have depth at RB. I think even if Bo kept playing, they still would have lost because it still wouldn't have prevented Clemson from doing what they did, run nearly 100 plays. People tend to think if you do it against the SEC teams, it must be man law or some shit. The SEC was a mediocre conference this year with no quality QBs in it at all. Alabama popped a couple of big runs with Bo. The rest of the time, they were getting their shit pushed in on the line, something I also pointed out before the game that Clemson's defense was being slept on of how good their front especially was. This is FSU's chief rival, so I know those mofos are the truth up front. Why do you think I was asking for Vic Beasley 2 years ago if we went defensive in the draft? This is the folly people around the rest of the country was saying about this game before it started of that Alabama would just push them around, and I told you that wouldn't happen.

Kiffin will show to be the shit coach he's always been next year at FAU as his career continues on a downard spiral to ending up at a JUCO coaching next after this next failure, and that kid he has just recruited to play QB, Johnson, actually is a baller. Sarkisian and Kiffin basically are the same person because I have never been able to distinguish the difference, and I guarantee you wouldn't have if no one told you Kiffin wasn't coaching in that game since the offense looked like it looked all year with Hurts running around and throwing 5 yard passes.

To further shit on this point, guess who had more time of possession this year as opposed to last year? That's right, Alabama under the OC who apparently called this shitty game that prevented them from holding the ball....except they held the ball 9 minutes longer this year than Clemson when the time of possession last year was just about dead even. SMH. What were you aiming for from Sarkisian, a 15 minute margin? The difference last year was Clemson's dumb asses weren't ready for an onside kick, and that wide open TE play happened twice last year instead of once. Otherwise, Alabama would have just lost to them twice in a row.

Scarborough breaking his leg was the difference. And Alabama's defense taking a giant shit. If you would've told me Alabama was going to put up 31 points I would've bet big money they would've won.
