We need impact players. If there is an impact player on a level better than any RT or FS available to us, it will suck if we pass on him. If we grade Moehrig higher than a RT (I’m just guessing we don’t), it will suck if we pass on him. If we grade the SC OG higher than Jenkins, and draft him, I’ll be fine with an OT in the 3rd. What I don’t want are two reaches at RT and FS.
I think Darrishaw is the guy. I’d probably trade up a couple spots to grab him rather than just taking whoever falls. Not feeling Jenkins although mostly just off stuff I’ve read. Seems kind of like the OT version of Abram. Not as bad a player relative to his position but overrated because of his set the tone ability.
#17 Micah Parsons LB, Penn State - (BPA defensive talent) #48 Richie Grant S, UCF - Starting FS 79. Daviyon Nixon IDL, Iowa (3T) 80. Spencer Brown OT, Northern Iowa (RT) 121. Tyler Shelvin IDL, LSU (Fat Run Stopper) 162. Ambry Thomas CB, Michigan (potential border CB) 167. Charles Snowden LB, Virginia (Developmental) 200. Simi Fehoko WR, Stanford (developmental big bodied Wr) (draftnetwork)
Sign Sherman to play FS and Wagnor to play RT after converting Miller and James’ salaries into bonus money, I’m in.
Not going to happen. In a recent mock draft by Peter Schrager of the NFL Network, he mocked Greg Newsome from Northwestern to the Raiders at No. 17. Here is what he had to say about that selection below: “This could be higher than other mock drafts have Newsome going, but I think teams are higher on the Northwestern CB than the rest of our “draft media” world. He is smart, tough and brings professionalism to the field. The Raiders will be looking to continue their offseason trend: beefing up the defense.” Newsome is one of the most well-rounded cornerbacks in this class. He can play on the outside or in the slot. He has experience playing in both man and zone schemes and was productive in both.
yea... yuck to Newsome at 17. I could see us taking Horn at BPA if he fell. But I'm not reaching for Newsome when we've invested young picks to our secondary already. Horn IS on the board here and falls a few more picks. Farley is also a better prospect than Newsome and falls farther. but shrags isn't an "analyst" of the draft by any stretch of the imagination. He's a commentator at best.
We shined the fuck out of Arnette last year. I'm sure we can work our magic here again. Seems like a perfect reach for us.
Micah Parsons, from his hilites looks like an up the field attacking type guy. Is that how Bradley would use him?
We'd have Mullen, Newsome, Arnette, and Abram in the secondary. 3 first rounders and a 2nd. And we'd still have the worst secondary in the league. We better not fucking go that route.
Ar'Darius Washington with one of our 3rds. Turn him into the FS that Joyner should've been for us. Let him play centerfield.
@alteredst8, when do we find out what BR.net says? Josh Dubow @JoshDubowAP 3h If the fans had their say based on PFF's draft simulator ... the #49ers would get Justin Fields and the #Raiders would get Trevon Moehrig PFF Draft @PFF_College Fan consensus NFL Mock Draft: 6. See comment about Ruggs. Epic mistakes are characteristic of Raider drafts 17. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS — OT CHRISTIAN DARRISAW, VIRGINIA TECH The Las Vegas Raiders made an epic mistake last season by deciding to forgo elite tackle prospect Tristan Wirfs in favor of Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the 12th overall pick. The Raiders won’t make the same mistake twice; this time around they select Christian Darrisaw to bolster an offensive line that has been entirely revamped from last season. The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder was one of just two offensive linemen in the FBS to earn 90-plus PFF grades as both a run-blocker (94.5) and pass-blocker (90.8) in 2020.
