2021 Cap space by team.

Imagine if we had signed Clowney to a big deal. And maybe Suh. We’d still suck on D and wouldn’t even be able to blame it on a completely objective cap breakdown.

Maybe just stick to, “draft better players”. That actually might have some validity.

This is the dumbest argument I’ve seen gain this much traction on the forum.
Who's making that argument?

What do you mean?
I will ask again. Who made that argument?

You have to be more specific. Which argument are you referring to? I am referring to this ongoing argument that this team has not invested capital, both via draft and in FA, into the defensive personnel.

Saying they haven’t is utter nonsense.

Just don't be trying to put words in my mouth.

I supported what I said with facts and links. That was my whole point.

I didn’t put words in your mouth. I think it’s a dumb argument.

I didn’t quote you.

I didn’t reply to you.

I stated my opinion just as I have several times on the matter over the last few weeks that this has somehow been a thing.

For the fuck of it... unless someone can prove Littleton’s restructure specifically saved defensive players from getting cut it’s not really relevant. Money spent is money spent.

:p

The sky is blue too. Lol

You really want the board to believe you make statements with no point? Good to know. Glad we cleared that up.

Now answer this, how is supplying a fact of which you were not aware (that Littleton restructured his contract to reduce his cap hit by over $8M 5 months after he signed a FA deal) that refuted the point you were (not) trying to make “cherry picking” anything? Do you use labels instead of making points too? Guess so.

As to the second point you were (not) trying to make in the follow up post (that Gruden has invested too much on O relative to the D), I guess you now concede NobodyInParticular’s work refuting that argument you were (not) making too. Funny how that works.

:lmao:

All Carr fans can't wait to get rid of Marcus. He showed more play making ability in less than a full game than Carr has his whole career after all.

No. I am fine with Mariota staying around but not at the current price. It is an expensive luxury especially since Gruden won't draw up packages for him. Now if he was used like Taysom Hill.

What play making ability was that? Losing to LAC? Scoring 14 ppg with the same team that Tannehill scored 30 ppg with? It is more like people are losing their minds over a couple of RPO plays that the Chargers didn't gameplan for.

I liked this one.....
Must-See: Mariota throws a perfect pass to Darren Waller for a 35-yard touchdown (raiders.com)
