2020 Offseason Roster

My whole point is the way you’re using PFF here is stupid since you’re using it for one player as proof you’re right and not using it for another player. As you know this whole sub had Mack as a disappointment his first two months so why are we using PFF to prove he was actually a stud and was off the charts as a rookie? It’s just a disingenuous argument.

I’ve been pretty consistent on Ferrell. He was disappointing his first 10 games. I really liked what I saw his last 6. If he can improve on the last 6 I think we’ll be happy with the pick if he plays more like that next year. Of course I don’t think Ferrell is as good as Mack was but that wasn’t what I was talking about haha

I literally typed "we are all quick to use that shitty website when it helps our argument" with regards to PFF in the original post...I think the sarcasm was missed?

People are quick to throw it around as some justification of a player even if it doesnt match what we actually watched.

Mack was dominant. Ferrell was invisible. Thats what we watched with our eyes.

I honestly don’t know how they come up with their metrics either bad or good.

Exactly.

We will use it to prop up a guy though. Does anyone here think Crosby and Ferrell deserve the same "62 rating" or whatever BS number it is?

Its retarded.

Birdwell?

Hunter Renfrow Top 10 in yards, TDs and receptions for rookies. No other rookie class had more TDs than the Raiders rookie class.

Trayvon Mullen One of the best rookie cover corners according to PFF. Top 3 in rookie Passes defensed and tackles. They should be in top 5

The Oakland Raiders have signed the following six players to Reserve/Future contracts, the club announced Monday.

All six signees finished the season on the Raiders practice squad.

Aruna, Ade DE 6-5 263 2 Tulane
Brown, Jordan DB 6-0 197 R Iowa
Donnerson, Kendall DE 6-3 249 1 Southeast Missouri
Kalis, Kyle OL 6-4 306 2 Michigan
Magnuson, Erik C 6-6 300 3 Michigan
Ratliff-Williams, Anthony WR 6-1 205 R North Carolina

I just remembered that Mayock did free-agency and the draft last year with Reggie's staff. This year he has had an entire year to get his guys and get the organization on the same page. I am more critical than most of his first-round choices but the success he had starting in the 2nd round is undeniable. Hopefully, the full year to get settled and get his staff in place pays dividends this year in free agency and the draft.

Does that “Once a Raider, always a Raider” thing apply if you get hurt signing the contract?

He's actually out in the community doing Raider outreach stuff. Seems like he's at least tentatively still in the plans.

Joyner is 30 next year. G insisted on playing him in the slot even with season-ending injuries to Abram and Joseph, and with Lawson as an option in the slot. Do you eat $8M to never see him in S&B again? Do you run him back out there in the slot? Do you try to move him to FS giving you Abram, Joyner, Harris at safety heading into FA and the draft?

Only 1 RB since 2006 has had 200+ carries and a PFF Elusive Rating above 100. Josh Jacobs this season. 78 broken tackles. 3.5 yards per carry AFTER contact. Beast.

Hopefully Hudson has more good years in the tank.

Rodney Hudson has allowed 54 pressures in his career. Matt Paradis has allowed 47 pressures this season. :chuckle:

Jon sounded pretty intent on bringing him back. I might be inclined to try him at his actual preferred position if we do keep him but I’d still be looking to upgrade.

I thought Joyner was a no cap hit cut if we wanted? If it costs $8m to keep him we might as well.
