Other NFL Games (2020)

Jared’s cashing in playoff checks!

It appeared that Veldheer’s 2020 season ended with the Indianapolis Colts in a loss at the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. Yet, two days later, Veldheer signed with the Green Bay Packers and can play Saturday in the NFC divisional round against the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN reported on Monday that offensive tackle Jared Veldheer will be the first (and likely only ever) NFL player to play for two teams in the same postseason.

How is this even legal?

He's definitely riding this thing until the wheels fall off.

When he left here with Arians and that group, he looked done, done. He's retired like five times since then and keeps on getting signed for some reason.

NFL is hurting for talent at OT.

He actually played the last two weeks. This is why I'm scratching my head on how this is happening since he was active on game days the last two weeks, lol.

It would be similar to Vic Beasley/Chris Smith for us. Ping Pong from practice squad to active roster ever few weeks, but if we send him down (Like the Colts did Veldheer) any team can scoop him and has to put him on the active roster for I believe 3 weeks.

Essentially a taxi squad guy going back and forth just happened to be picked up for a depleted OL.

The fact Veldheer might start for both teams is pretty incredible IMO.

Like @007 said it's similar to the Vic Beasley/Chris Smith situation. Veldheer was brought up from practice squad to the active game roster, but not to the main 53-man roster. He would revert back to the practice squad after each game. He didn't have an active contract with Indy for the active roster.

Trent Baalke/Urban Meyer rumors heating up in Jax.

Thats a combo.
