2019 Schedule Thread

We better hope he's hurt for that one. London's going to witness a murder.

Run the ball..quick passes...so what if we lose at least we can say mack didn't do shit...that would be the game plan I would do as coach.. Take his 25 million dollar ass right out of the fuckin game

Does it really matter? :D

You want to get better. You play against the cream of the crop.

Not that the Raiders are any good yet. But you don't get better by playing inferior competition.
NE says hi.

inferior competition? who could we even list there? maybe AZ?

East Illinois State?
There is East Illinois and Illinois State. Based on their last head to head matchup, Illinois State is the superior team. Eastern Illinois had 10 sacks last year. They also scored 46 TDs. Eastern Illinois would be a competitive game. I might try to watch their games from last year for my Little Mayock 2nd round pick.

Maybe I should rephrase that.

It's better to play against competition that is infinitely superior than to play against a team that is moderately better.

You learn more about your players and can have a better evaluation of where you are as a team.

You can also improve your performance in the future by learning from playing the much better teams.

Tell that to the AFC East...

Not sure if this is right, but I reacted differently than PFT to this story about hyper review of RPO on instant replays. Offenses routinely cheat and get away with it. Picks and blocking downfield are coached and done by design. If instant replay cleans that up, great.

Why should offenses have an unfair advantage? If on a RPO a TD gets reversed due to a seemingly innocuous OL downfield blocking, that’s the cost of doing business. How many times on an RPO did that penalty not get called when the offense drove downfield into the redzone? Follow or change the rule, don’t whine about its enforcement.

OL are not supposed to go downfield, but are supposed to stay at or behind the LOS on passing plays. The 1 yard rule was designed to give OL 1 yard leeway. But instead, HC and OC took advantage of that 1 yard leeway and basically dared refs to call the penalty on every play.

It’s like traveling in the NBA. They stopped enforcing the rule rather than change it. Here they should change the rule if they are not going to enforce it. If they don’t change it, the NFL should enforce it and tell teams to stop violating and taking advantage of the rule.

If HC and OC tell OL not to advance but stay at or behind the LOS on passing plays, the rule would work as intended. 1 yard would give the OL enough breathing room.

Instead, HC and OC on RPO have OL attacking on purpose, at best toeing the line, but by design violating the rule when an OL releases early or the QB holds onto the ball longer than expected. It’s not the rules fault. The play is designed to be or look like a run, violate the 1 yard rule and dare officials to call a penalty.

Raiders just announced via Twitter that they would be playing again in London. This year, they will be moving their scheduled home game against the Bears to the neutral site.

Of all the games that could be moved to London, they took the Khalil Mack game? I can't even comprehend the logic behind this.
I can:chuckle:
Mark knows after Carr gets decapitated @NIPS will find him in his suit.
