Still the shit.
definitely my favorite record. Somehow Kirk forgot how to play after that.

could be yeah. Oh that avatar haha fuck you! I met Kirk, he’s a really good dude, just never been a fan of his solos. He somehow fits the band but someone take that wah pedal away from him or teach him how to use it.Probably just playing Mustaine’s stuff.

Wife owes me a fucking Agnostic Front in the pit show for this.
Best slide player I ever saw was Roy Rogers and Delta Rhythm Kings, check him out if you get a chance.Listening to some Elmore James. Some sick ass slide guitar.
One of the most interesting slide players I saw was Robert Randolph doing a cover of Jimi Hendrix during the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour a few years back. I highly recommend seeing it, if it passes your way this year (looks like its just the Western part of the US for now). He was using one mounted on a table and was leaning it all over, picking it up and carrying it around the stage, basically treating it as a lead guitar solo. It was especially impressive, due to some of the other talent on the stage like Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Joe Satriani, In Living Color, Los Lonely Boys, Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, etc.Best slide player I ever saw was Roy Rogers and Delta Rhythm Kings, check him out if you get a chance.
I think it's coming to Sac in a couple of months, was thinking about going. One of the most interesting slide players I saw was Robert Randolph doing a cover of Jimi Hendrix during the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour a few years back. Robert Randolph is an absolutely stunning pedal steel guitar player. Many years ago, I happened to stop on some awards show and they were doing a medley where it started with OutKast, had the middle done by Robert Randolph and the Family Band, and ended with OutKast & Parliament Funkadelic. I had never heard of Robert Randolph at all.... and went and snatched up his CD the next damned day!
In unrelated news, I think I’m finally just fucking old. I’ve done a pretty good job up until now if finding something I like in most genres.... but now it’s pretty much all shit. Mumbling ass simple Simon ass rappers. Pop star country singers. Metal heads who only know how to deep throat a microphone. It all sounds like dogshit.... which tells me that the problem isn’t the music, it’s probably me.
