2019 Post Draft Roster/Depth Chart

I think that rumor is utter BS. However if it were to be true, I would not trade Conley for him. Ramsey really had a down year last year, and in no way lived up to his hype. He gave up 50 + receptions last year. Yes he's a damn good CB, but I don't want to trade away what I think is a other damn good CB in Conley to get him.

The kid is gonna try and break bank next year, and he very much said so in a little clip with him Fournette. I'm not saying he can't or won't be worth it, but in acquiring his talents I don't want to trade away one of our young talents. Find another way imo.
The alternative would be Mullen and a pick, but that would result in a huge investment at CB as opposed to cost-controlled contracts.

Keep seeing articles of the “Jalen Ramsey could be traded to Oakland” rumor. Wonder if there is any truth to it. I’d offer Conley straight up and see if they would bite. Would save them money short term and give them an ascending young talent in exchange for a guy who is creating a little too much drama with n their locker room. He’s expensive but he’s also THE CB1 in the NFL right now. Would help our pass rush and allow whoever the #2 CB winds up being get help over the top as often as needed.

Sign me up.

Doing it would completely invalidate the logic of trading Mack so I doubt we’ll see it happen but I’m all about competing now. Conley hasn’t proven he can stay healthy let alone be a shut down guy consistently.

DRAFT ANALYSIS:
"This is a dream scenario for the Jaguars. Ramsey is arguably the best position player in this draft. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley comes from Seattle, where they covet long corners. He's a special athlete; he ran track, won the ACC long jump title, ran the opening leg of the 4x100-meter relay. He's got catch-up speed like I haven't seen. He has a different skill set. This is a different cat, and he's got a 'wow' factor." -- Mike Mayock

SOURCES TELL US

"Some scouts on the road think he's overrated and some think he's the next Richard Sherman. We all agree that he's going to win the combine and that (Mike) Mayock won't stop talking about him." -- NFC director of football operations

kinda awesome that we can find our GM's takes on all these past players.. LOL

unless he's the kinda guy that just loves everyone... I dunno I didn't really follow him to know..

If I'm trading for anyone on Jax it's that passrusher Ngakoue...
Totally agree. Ngakoue might be had for a 2nd rounder. Great - no 2nd rounder due to Mack trade

We have have 2 rookie corners and Conley. Let’s see what they can do

Adding another douche bag like Ramsey for Hard Knocks tho....Ramsey and Brown getting into heated trash talk every practice would be must see TV if it already isn’t. I am interested tho in seeing who else on this team seems like a dick head.

Great must see tv but no way I want Ramsey if we got to trade mullen and a pick. If we can get Ramsey for a 2nd round pick fine if not the Jags can keep their high priced vet. Jalen is a Money guy he is looking for a big contract if we make the trade. I want Conley as our #1 we should trade a 2nd or 3rd rounder for jimmy smith and make him our #2

Next Raider All Pro Player: Hurst or Conley?

OAKLAND RAIDERS: Maurice Hurst, DT, second NFL season: The Raiders house a few young options for this list in pass rusher Arden Key, cornerback Gareon Conley and a trio of first-rounders in pass rusher Clelin Ferrell, running back Josh Jacobs and safety Johnathan Abram. I'm going with Hurst, a dominant college performer at Michigan who fell to the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft after being diagnosed with a heart condition at the NFL Scouting Combine. The interior D-lineman was the best Raiders defender for long stretches in 2018 and looms as a steal for the Silver and Black. My 1b choice would be Conley, who came up big as the Raiders held Antonio Brown (when he was still a Steeler) to 35 yards in Week 14 and the Chiefs' Tyreek Hill to 13 yards off one grab in Week 13. Yummy.

I’m going Hurst. I think he’ll be a beast now that he’s got a chance to acclimate to the NFL.

Conley’s health still worries me.

Does that leave me Conley? :D

If Conley can string 16 games like his two best games in ‘18, that would be something:

“In Week 13, playing against rival Kansas City, Conley held Hill to only 13 yards on one reception. The following week, in the Raiders stunning victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Conley shut down current teammate Brown, holding him to only 35 yards.”

I was talking about just this the other day and mentioned that it's almost a lock the Raiders trade down with one of their 2 1st rd picks and grab get that 2nd back and another pick

That was the thinking about replacing our 3rd round pick last year, and it did not happen.
