Whos left for day 2?

Meh, the two go hand in hand. Yes, good pass rush makes your secondary better, but good secondary coverage makes your pass rush productivity better also.

I concur. Our sack production was terrible, but it is hard to get sacks when the offense could throw at whomever Hayden was "covering" anytime they wanted. Conley upgrades this area and now we need to be able to take the throw it to the wide open TE option away and we will be making some progress. Of course if you don't get even decent pressure then somebody is going to get open sooner or later. We need more players that can bring that pressure.

I'm betting McMillan if he's available or Bowser.

Reggie loves him some team Captains McMillan's issue is he's a Jr. Red prefers Seniors. But McMillan was a 3 year starter and team captain. That still fits Red's model.

I think round 2 might be too high for Reggie to go LB. I'm keeping my eye on the other guy from OSU.

Also, we're likely going to be picking in the ILB sweet spot for the next couple of years so maybe no sense of urgency here either.

These are some of the guys predicted to be on Red's Radar. Unless we go offense one of these guys is your next Raider

Really hoping we land Trey Hendrickson. He could go anywhere from mid round 2-3 right?

My sleeper in this draft other than Godwin (WR from my HS)

McMumbles just does not value linebackers. I will bet that he doesn't even think about it until late rounds, maybe a guy like Gedeon...

Hendrickson is from my son's highschool...

Something interesting to note is that out of McKenzie’s 41 selections, a staggering 37 of them were seniors. And two of the players that were not seniors had three years of on-field experience — Mario Edwards Jr. and Amari Cooper. So 95 percent of his picks played at least three years in college.

Only Max Valles and J. Dowling were Juniors. Late athletic freaks... upside guys who bombed..

18 out of 41 players were team captains in college. That’s less than half, so obviously not a big factor, but it’s worth at least noting

After Cunningham and McMillan go there really isn't much difference between a 3rd round LB or a 5th round one in this draft...

I like McMillan in the 2nd round. He's only 20. If somehow McDowell or Budda Baker drops I'd pull the trigger.
I think Cunningham is my "druthers" pick. My Jonathan Allen of round 2--I know he has the talent to go a lot higher, but I could possibly see him dropping halfway through the round.

After that, my wishlist is similar to yours. I probably put McMillan in my top group with Budda Baker, and I would have McDowell in my "I'd be okay with it."

As I keep thinking about it, I don't know why I expected differently, but I think the Raiders are going to target a small school prospect for their off-ball LB needs (x2) (like Corey James) or a great LB who is injured (Ball)

Here's the thing with coaches and GMs that specialize in a specific position--either they played it or they were position coaches--they often look for the hidden gem rather than the best prospects. Think back to Gruden and the types of QBs that he would draft--he drafted the gritty guys rather than the toolsy prospects to coach them up.

With our stable of former NFL LBs, I think we have the same thing. They are looking for specific traits that aren't necessarily your 5-star players. Look for the Blair Brown or Trey Hendrickson on Day 3. Maybe Anzalone for the injured guy.

Not saying we don't need LBs, but I'm eager to see how Corey James develops. I thought he showed some skills last season.

Also, I bet Tice thinks he can turn Cam Robinson into a player...

James, Heeney, Ball etc

They are all too slight to be effective against the run. Reggie seems to like smaller ILBs for some reason. And most of the guys didnt play ILB in college, they played OLB.

Im hoping for a H/W/S ILB eventually. Someone 240+ who has experience at ILB.

I was willing to go against this for Foster (6' 225) but only because he has proven he is a true thumper ILB. But running these little guys out there who have never played ILB is just making it easy for the OL.

This is why I liked Watt.. 250 and can move. Cunningham has nice size, but his jumpy feet scare me. Id almost rather take McMillian who seems like a decent run plugger at least.

Cunningham might be better suited outside with those happy feet

All those guys can't shed blocks.

They can run but get stuck in the muck.

Oh well. Hopefully McMillan gets his card handed in

My money says if Josh Jones is on the board still.. he'll be Reds pick
