2021 Mock Draft Thread

Caleb Farley anyone? :coffee:

17. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: CB CALEB FARLEY, VIRGINIA TECH
Arguably the best corner available when healthy, Caleb Farley has been rapidly slipping down draft boards — from a borderline top-10 pick at his peak to somewhere in the bottom third of the round, according to PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator. Farley dealt with multiple back issues during his college career, and that will always scare teams, but if he checks out medically (and he reportedly did at the medical re-checks in Indianapolis), then the Raiders are the kind of team that would fall in love with his physical tools.

I have never seen a corner with the kind of recovery speed and burst to the football that Farley has. Those are traits the Raiders above most teams would find it very difficult to pass up.

No.

Look at the guys running those secondary groups. I got your answer right there for you. KNJ and Paul G are biggest of boneheads.

What an abomination. We suck at identifying and developing players in secondary. Outside of maybe nabbing a safety, I want to see most of the resources dedicated to linemen on both sides. Wouldn't hate it we used all of our top four picks on linemen and we stay away from the secondary. The way we pick, we can get a fifth rounder at safety and he's be as good as our first rounder.

Shitty management and coaching staff +shitty picks = shit roster

So much draft capital blown in the secondary and other places. Sure fire pick would be one of the OT or a defensive player like Micah Parsons or one of the other LB like Zaven Collins or Owasu from ND.

But none of those guys have exactly torn up the league when they moved on, either.

Complete scouting, drafting, and coaching failure.

And letting shitty coaches pick the shitty groceries.

Sadly, a similar post could be written about interior defensive lineman. At least there some have gone on to have success elsewhere, meaning that they were just overdrafted rather than complete busts.
