Draft thread

Love to get someone like Myles Turner in a trade. He's still young and can protect the rim.

Just trade the pick for an established guy. we haven't exactly lit it up with our draft picks lately.

Yeah, if Lacob is willing to spend the money that's the way I'd prefer to go. This is a weak draft overall. I'm sure we'll try some big fish chasing with our pick, TWs pick, and Wiggins. Too bad we didn't get a chance to showcase Wiggins a little better next to Steph to boost his value.

As far as our draft record goes... we've been picking from the scraps for a while. Top 5 should offer some better talent at least.

That Wiggins contract is an albatross. I don't see how we can get rid of that.

Crazy that we haven't picked top 5 since 2002.

I don't follow college ball anymore enough to know more about these prospects than what I read but assuming we don't trade the pick we just need the bpa since we can use help everywhere. Need a microwave scorer to compete with Poole, a defender to replace Iguodala, bench unit ball handler... we need a traditional big too but I'd rather just bring in a vet there.

I read the other day that ownership is committed to spending regardless of the financial situation. They know we have a window and want to make the most of it. Music to my ears. I think we'll have some luck with the FAs given the stigma of signing with a "stacked" team has died down.

Its really hard to say at this point. The window is definitely tightening and I am not sure they are going to want to roll the dice on a rookie or flip that pick for an established vet. On the other hand, they are going to have to start developing some younger guys to take over for our vets who aren't getting any younger.
