Satisfactory [edited] post bungles we barely won the game thread.

A couple of weeks ago, I started thinking of this team as similar to our 8-8 squad from 1998. They’re all close ones. We lose some we should win and we win some we should lose.

  • Max Crosby was an absolute terror on the field tonight. They had nobody who could block him.
  • Josh Jacobs broke Marcus’ record for 100 yard rushing games by a rookie. The red zone fumble sucked but he was still a stud.
  • Carr will probably get murdered on this board over the interception, but 25 of 29 is pretty damned sharp.
  • Waller and Williams both had good games.
  • The offensive line did not meet their usual standard (although Atkins and Dunlap have been ballers for a long time now).
  • When they picked up the flag for the helmet to helmet on the Waller reception, they were correct to do so.... but how did they miss the fucking face mask?
  • Ritchie was not offsides!
  • And Waller was absolutely pulled down in the end zone on the next play.
Man, 6-4 feels good.

Go Chargers!

It was so obvious that Cincy jumped offside and Richie moved as he should have done. They also missed the late hit on JJ where he was five yds OB before the defender hit him low. And Waller was blatantly pulled down. If that was reversed, we definitely get flagged for that. That illegal pick on Moreau was BS too. Pats get away with that all the time.

He's so explosive just watching the snippits on the side during the interview you forget how much quicker he is then the OL blocking him.

I don't know of a good comparison I think @gst8 came up with Danielle Hunter.

He's just long, fast and explosive. STUD.

Ha. I think my Danielle Hunter comp was for Burns but it might have been Sweat too.

Can't remember but it definitely wasn't Crosby. Maxx reminds me of someone... Leonard Floyd maybe?

It was one of those tall lanky OLB pass rushers than came out in the last couple of years.

If he puts on another 15lbs of muscle without losing quickness, he is going to be unblockable. Violent hands but what has surprised me the most is his ability to bull rush OT’s. Didn’t think he was that strong.

But the haters won’t give him credit for that.
It was one of those mixed bags games, with the O only scoring 17 points. But with the OL and running game sputtering, Carr led two TD scoring drives in the first half. And but for the pic, false start penalty and failure to convert on 1st and goal from the 6 yard line, Carr would have had a heck of a day.

Don’t know why a blogger does not track NFL bias on judgment calls. It’s so fucking obvious we were getting screwed yesterday.

He only needs to get stronger, not bigger. But he’ll get bigger as he gets older. Hopefully he stays just as quick.

That game shouldn’t have been as close as it was. JJ fumble and the refs jobbing is on the goal line. There’s 11 points right there. Carr was dropping dimes and doing a better job of stepping up in the pocket. That one jump lob to TW was like the play Mahomes made a few weeks back.

Trent Green can go fuck himself too.
He's so biased against the Raiders.

The league better fix that helmet to helmet rule nonsense.
You can't even tackle a guy without getting penalized.
There's no way to avoid helmet contacts.
As far as I'm concerned there has to be obvious intent.

Where's he been? Who is that guy and what motivates him? Is he going to turn back into the pussy that says "the most important thing is being able to hold my baby's after the game" because he slides before anyone can get near him.
What we are seeing here is Derek when he is motivated and trying. It don't make up for being a cunt to me, he's quit way to many times.

Enjoy the ride when the goings good. He’s arguably having his best season ever. He’s in a system now he’s comfortable with and won’t have to worry about another change in regimes

Raiders facebook has the game score captioned with "a win is a win" lol.

Guess they were expecting more too. A win plus things to work on is probably a coaches dream scenario.
