I read he was charted with a league low 1 off target pass last week.
Thats a good sign.
That’s where I thought he made a pretty good improvement on last year, ball placement.
He’s always been a QB that will read the D, get the ball out, but he would often put it on a RB that would have to adjust to get it.
It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but in a WCO (it’s kind of a hybrid WCO) it’s huge.
I still would like to see him push it down field a tad more often than week 1, but that was probably the game plan going into that game.
Maybe we see more moving forward in nice trust in the OL is solidified.
IMO, I think everyone is giving him (here, us) specifically, a pretty unbiased opinion (for 2020) so far. Nobody too high or low.
It’s a great start, but he has to be more consistent over the 16 games. He had several outstanding games surrounded by a few putrid ones last year.
IMO the bad ones were where the OL and or his targets were overmatched, but still, they were awful games nonetheless.
In theory, we should see less of that with the talent Mayock went out and got for him.
You gimme close to week 1’s performance week in and week out, and throw in one of these WR’s coming out, we may be cooking with fire in Las Vegas.
Until then I’ll take it week to week.
