I just read where Randle is opting out and testing the FA waters. They could still possibly resign him.

Agree on Jrue. You need a steady vet back there with all the youth they have on that team. I expect them to flip that 4 to bring in another quality vet. Jimmy Buckets would be a good add unless he doesn’t want to go to a rebuilding team. I like Gentry, guy has had some shit luck.

Klay isn’t going anywhere. I have no clue as far as where KD will wind up. He’s supposedly going to spend the summer rehabbing in NY. I’m just coming to grips with the fact that we will probably suck ass next year. I don’t see us getting anything for Livingston or Iggy.

You guys are crazy btw. A team with a healthy Curry / Draymond will compete for a playoff spot. Don't get caught up in what the roster looks like right now. There will be a ton of new faces next season. The Warriors have completely shit the bed the last few years with their vet & minimum salary additions. I expect Bob Myers and them to get super crafty in building a team for the new stadium. Curry and Draymond make players better if you can find the right type of role players. We need a knock down 3 & D guy, that shouldn't be impossible to find (some old vet) We need some youth and athleticism / someone who can attack the rim & we have a couple of draft picks to find that. A legit back-up point guard may be the biggest need of all. I would use the MLE on that and have Curry protected with a competent back up.

I think you guys are sleeping on the Warriors FO. This team was built top heavy. Going into this season w Klay & KD out will change the roster bigtime. Expect a few more scorers and shooters to "replace" all those shots. Before we just staggered our 3 scorers and we didnt need another person who needs the ball. Now we can purposely find complementary players who can play big minutes and even start.

TLDR: Gonna be a weird year. But if the FO does a decent job this team will compete for the playoffs in SF year one. Klay will be back in time for the playoffs. KD probably won't unless he responds to this injury miraculously.

I don't think anyone thinks they wouldn't compete for a playoff spot but the organization would be wise to take advantage of the lowered expectations and give them ample time off while developing the next iteration of support players.

I just dont see Curry (no other scoring option), Draymond (contract year), Iggy (last run) Lacob (brand new building year one) & Myers (crying over KD) giving anything less than 100%

I think we are on the same page tho. It would be wise for the Warriors to rest Curry and be patient with Kd/Klay. I just think this FO is going to want to keep there foot on the gas moving to that new home court. Curry will be MVP style shoot the entire game stat stuffer Steph. Green is going to be busting his ass all year trying to get DPOTY/ALL NBA so he can get paid. Those two guys alone are enough to pull a team into the playoffs, even in the western conference.

I also agree this roster "as is" is not a playoff team. I just have faith that this FO and HC know exactly what they need to get things going for the next five years. Re-sign KD, Klay, Dray, Looney - use 2020 to find out who can be part of the team moving forward as role players.

They really need to stop burning draft picks too. Evans should be expected to play major minutes next year. He was groomed with that extended rookie season. He has to contribute. I really dont expect anything from Bell, DJ, Cook, McKinnie etc. Every single one of those dudes can be upgraded by someone who plays strong defense. They dont bring enough on offense to warrant real minutes IMO. All spot players. Livingston should retire. Bogut can rejoin us for the playoffs if we need another body.

Klay is a tough SOB. He will be back earlier than expected. Bank on that. KD getting in any useable shape before the playoffs/WCF next year would be the real issue. That might not happen making next years run iffy. But who the fuck had the Raptors winning it all? Injuries happen and we might get lucky like they did, you never know.

I just don't see it. Role players like David West for example came here for vet minimums to for a chance at a ring. We just don't have the horses this year to attract those kind of guys.

Here's a list of mid tier guys that are available. Some will be out of our price range but a few are in our price range.
