As for the “remaining” books in the series, I doubt we’ll ever see them. Putting myself in his shoes, how satisfying would it be to write a story that everyone has a notion as to what the ending could be? Any book he releases now will have that Scooby Doo “alternate ending” feel to it, even though it would 100% be better done than the show has been.

I’m talking about the HBO prequel.

I think GRRM has moved on to other projects now and isn’t really all that interested in finishing it. He’s probably low key grateful that the TV series did it for him.
 
I hadn’t heard about an HBO prequel, just that they were planning a number of spinoffs. I didn’t click into the article because if I’d seen “The Hound” spin-off, I’d have been pissed knowing that a particular character survived beforehand. I’ll look at it on Monday, I reckon.
 
Another thing, I’m going to be pissed off if the faceless men don’t show up for payback before this is over. Unless Arya is actually dead.

"The Long Night" is supposed to be ready to air sometime next year, last I heard.
 
Battle of the Bastrds down!

I am kind of saddened to see Ramsey go. He was probably my favorite character. It was inevitable I guess.

I must say, I am quite relieved to see that faceless girl gone. She's up there with some of the most anoying characters I've seen on TV. Just awful.

Some folks really take their GoT seriously.

A lotta people were guessing Daenerys would go Mad Queen at some point. This dude mathed it out nearly 3 years ago and, yeah. Kinda nailed it.



Spoiler within a spoiler/to;dr: Dany is so fucking inbred (parents were siblings, grandparents were siblings, maybe even her great grandparents), her DNA would be 75 fucking % identical to her father's.
