Don’t know where you’ve been for the last few years but reddit.com/r/nflstreams has never let me down

There's been rumors of the NFL shutting down streams for good for 10 years. I'll believe it when I see it. I watch a shit ton of football during the season so as long as the price doesn't get too outrageous I'll keep using it. We didn't draft Rashaan Gary at 4 so I'll probably keep it this year and keep going year to year. I pay $45/month for DTV when the season isn't on and still have NFLN/HBO and have paid about $85/month when the Ticket is on. It gets put to use so I don't feel as bad paying for it. I probably watch over 90 hours of football on the thing during the season.

I still don’t get how you guys have to pay for the ticket. Every single year I had DTV they’d just send me an email telling me they were giving it to me for free. Mostly worthless to me being in market too.

Im considering going to a bar and getting shit canned in public to avoid DTV's bullshit. Its just no fun rooting for the Raiders drunk in public. Not trying to choke slam a chiefs fan when I could be smoking a blunt quieting crying to myself on the couch eating free dips.

They've been sticklers to me the past two years and I usually get stuck having to pay for at least some of it. There's a thread around here somewhere that we all share our call in stories to try and get a better deal. I always get them down on the price but usually end up having to pay something. This year I probably ended up paying $100 for it total after all the discounts and rebates and shit.

Last season around week 13 or 14 I got fed up with trying to stream. Every time I thought I had a good one, it would time out or something like that. I even used a VPN. So I signed up for ST. I was able to get two years for the price of one. Although I really only got a couple more games last season, I've got the whole 2019 package. I'm hopefully optimistic that the NFL's break up with DTV goes horrifically bad and they will finally get their heads out of their asses and offer games ala carte.

I"m in market so I'm completely happy with Redzone plus the games I get, looks like will have to figure something out once we move to Vegas though.

Same. DTV sucks. I'd hate to go back but, like @RF34 said, bootleg streaming really isn't for me.

There's some smoke about the NFL partnering with a legit streaming service which makes sense given that cable is going the way of the land line. I'm not sure how that would work in terms of advertising revenue though since streaming services cut out the commercials for the most part.

They would just make the Ticket online and you would get the ads in the games just like with DTV I would guess. Redzone cuts out the ads for them though.

They already have NFL Game Pass that streams live games to other countries in high def for an annual fee. I don't see why they would need to partner with anybody if they can provide the service themselves and already do.

Why cant we all pitch in for sunday ticket... get someone to setup a site with a pass word and stream the game so we all can see the shit.. cant be that hard to figure out

Sorta like one dem virtual classrooms and shit... everyone gets to see and hear what the teacher sees

I hate Direct TV. Please drop them....

The NFL’s arrangement with DirecTV for NFL Sunday Ticket will end after the 2019 season — but only if the NFL acts to end the relationship within the coming weeks.

According to John Ourand and Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal, the NFL must decide whether to opt out of the Sunday Ticket deal early by early September.
If the NFL doesn’t exercise its right to end the arrangement earlier before the regular season begins on September 5, the contract between the league and DirecTV will continue through 2022.

The challenge for the NFL is simple: Stay the course for $1.5 billion per year from DirecTV, or roll the dice on what could be a better distribution package but less money. The NFL has been exploring whether other companies have interest in taking over Sunday Ticket. Per the report, however, none of the various streaming services will offer $1.5 billion for exclusive access to Sunday Ticket.

One potential approach would entail DirecTV offering the package via satellite, with another company taking over the streaming rights. That approach wouldn’t necessarily replace the $1.5 billion in annual revenue from DirecTV.

If DirecTV were smart, they would offer Sunday Ticket with their streaming service DirecTV NOW. I called and they do not offer it. It’s essentially the same service for a fraction of the price. And the picture quality will be better. The “1080P” channels are NOT 1080p quality. Rent a “1080p” movie that you stream and see the difference. I looked at my bill the other day (reason #1 why I called to bitch) I’m paying over $50 a month just to LEASE the equipment I’ve had for almost three years. I want to cut the cord, and I would have. But as of now they don’t offer Sunday Ticket with their streaming service. I am waiting for two things before I quit them. Will Reddit NFL Streams work as it has the last two years? And will the NFL opt out.

If DirecTV loses Sunday Ticket they are fucked. They need to go all in and push their streaming service and move away from the equipment/cords by offering Sunday Ticket with DirecTV NOW. It would assuredly cut operating costs BIG TIME after the initial surge of returned/picked up equipment was taken care of.

Downside for them would be all the guys/gals who they would terminate due to not needing service techs any more (if they care about business ethics). But, monetarily that’s even more money they would save.

Strangely I have never gotten a call or mail offer to switch to their streaming service. So it’s doubtful they are close to actually making a concerted effort towards that particular service.

TL;DR Fuck DirecTV. They should offer Sunday Ticket a la cart or with their streaming service so I can ditch the high bill. Or give the contract to a company that will move away from pricey, unnecessary equipment.
