Game of Fucking Thrones *SPOILERS*

Arya!!! No!!! :yikes: :bugeye:  :nono: :hmph:

Right!?! Funny that "how old is Arya" was the number one Google search right after that. Even funnier that people were okay with her killing and cooking people when they thought she was like 12 but not getting busy the eve of the end of the world.

As for the episode itself... poor clock usage so far this season. Episode 1 was way to fast and 2 kinda slow. Could have evened out a bit more and really taken the time to do those reunification scenes right.

And then there were 4...

Bring on the night king!

Bruh, WTF man?

How are they going to spend 8 years building the Night King storyline only to "Snoke" him? Even if they finally give us the back story in subsequent episodes, for him to go out like that was weak, weak, weak. And let's just say it... Jon Aegon Targaryen Snow is kind of a wimp. Kinda expected a few more main characters to bite the dust in this one too. Epic battle but damn I wish the writing had been better.

I think the death of POV characters will come in the human vs human battles to come. Don't forget there will be further struggle for the Iron Throne and the North. It's not the War of Five Kings, but it's close.

I'm still mourning the loss of Robb. If this were a fairytale instead of a clusterfuck of injustice, he would have pushed the Lannisters back to King's Landing and secured the title of King in the North for the Starks again.

Is anyone else worried about Dany becoming a White Walker? When the Night King three that spear at her, she cried out like she was hit. And the Night King smirked.

That's really just a minor gripe. I'd think a battle of this magnitude would have more of an emotional cost for the viewer but it's not necessarily a deal breaker. Definitely out of character for the series though. Although - for the briefest of moments - I actually thought either Sansa or Tyrion was going to bite the dust in the crypts. That said, it's the complete swing and miss on the Night King that's disappointing. That and Jon looking more and more like a bumbling idiot than THE hero of the series. 3 more episodes to redeem.

Didn't catch that. Would be a cool twist.

I did find myself wondering if he was connected to the Targaryens when the dragon fire did nothing.

That was the case in Hardhome though. I think it was communicated that, while wights are vulnerable to fire, only dragonglass or Valyrian steel can kill a White Walker

Totally agree on the Night King. That should have been a much longer engagement across multiple episodes.

And my gripe with the episode last night is that the battle was a little too exhausting for me. Maybe it was because the episode was so dark, but I really found myself battle weary about 45 minutes into the show.

Same. Well done, but slightly over done.

I expect that they'll do some wrap-up concerning Bran (probably will head back North of the wall) to kind of tidy things up but certainly unsatisfying to date. Also, as much as I roll my eyes when people complain about the feasibility of something in a fantasy fiction movie/show, riding the dragons was just too much to the point of being corny to me. Reminded me of the Neverending Story lol.

I wonder how the battle with Cersie will play out. I mean, Dany still has at least one dragon.

Seems like pretty short work with that type of advantage.

I found the episode to be pretty disappointing to be honest. I get that part of the story was the Night King brought the storm that made it hard to see but it made the battle scenes pretty unenjoyable as well. The horde of undead break through and kill everyone except main characters. It just didn't feel realistic. Dragon scenes sucked. I couldn't even tell who was who and who got hurt and whatnot. I don't really watch the show for the battle scenes and special effects anyway so it isn't a deal breaker on the show, the best part about it is the character development and the sex scenes!

It was kind of unfortunate that the show known for "everybody dies" had *nobody* of consequence die in the most climactic battle yet. Beric Dondarrion and Lyanna Mormont? The Red Priestess and Theon? Jhogo?

It was clear throughout the battle that Grey Worm, Jorah, Jaime, Brienne, Sam, Sandor, et all were going to survive. There was surety there. Which was odd.

I hate this thread...

Just started watching GOT, and I'm only part way through season 2... I have been so tempted to come here and read the spoilers...

Just saw Renly die tonight, that was a bit of a shock. Overall the show is just okay thus far. I kind of expected a bit more of something even though I don't know exactly what that is. I'm still happily watching it, but I do hope it evolves a bit more.

The first few seasons are the best so if you're not feeling it pretty soon it's probably just not your cup of tea.

Last night:

This season is officially disappointing. I'm finding myself in Sons of Anarchy mode of just going through the motions of watching just to get through the end. I mean, it's still a million times better than SOA but so were my expectations. Two fucking years of waiting and this is what we get. Lame.

Ok, to the show itself.

You'd think after she swore an oath not to reveal Jon's secret that Sansa would at least have to be coerced into revealing it.

Just a little bit???

Tyrion's speech to Cersei at the Red Keep was corny as fuck. "I know you're not a monster der da der".

Bran still is the most annoying character in the history of TV. SNL is going to have a field day with him if they haven't already. Seems like we really are going breeze right through any backstory payoff with the Night King/white walker storyline.

Missandei's death? Seems like they're just trying to check the "shocking death" box without it actually being shocking or anyone of real significance. Woulda been better if Cersei had just pushed her off too.

One character arc I'm still ok with is Jaime. Having him throw away his chance to be happy to go back and defend is sister is one of the few "true to character" events that's happened this season. Well, that and Jon being a bumbling idiot anytime the opportunity presents itself.

Decent scenes with Tyrion and Varys. My prediction? Tyrion snitches out Varys for plotting against Danny, which puts her into full mad queen mode, and Tyrion is left being the one that has to become the "queen slayer".

All that said, I still can't wait for next week... :D

agree kind of disappointing... also there's a bunch of boats with the dragon bows mounted on the front, she can't fly around the back and torch those fuckers? still into it but some of it has been corny or from a battle perspective just not make a lot of sense.
