Tell that to my kid who's had two ACL and 1 achilles injury due to physical tackles. And I didn't say hockey wasn't physical, I said it was more physical for a shorter time... hence the analogy.

I don't know that you can make a fair comparison Ice Hockey and football. There's a reason hockey players last into their 40s on the regular. The ice is a great equalizer as generally things glide unlike the normal ground. The hits you take in football aren't really comparable and the types of pulls and injuries you get sprinting vs skating are also not the same. They are both tough sports but the impact on hits in football is higher. My son played both HS football and full contact hockey and would tell you the same.

If Derek Carr and Chaz Schilens played one minute of soccer they would instantly become the toughest soccer plays to ever play the sport.

I'd say hockey is more their lane given they'd get to wear even more protective gear than they do in football.
 
Always remember the first organized hockey game I played in at college... I had played plenty of soccer, football, ultimate Frisbee, would play racquetball for hours and I was like "wtf do you mean I have to come out of the game after a minute for a shift change?!?"

Damn near puked after my second shift...

That's just a front. Like when Jerry Seinfeld married that young Jewish girl. It was pretty well known in comedic circles that him and George Wallace, the comedian were an item. A comic I worked with once had also told be about Eddie Murphy's fascination with pre-op tranny's.
