Chargers week and 3 days.

Thought this was illegal?

When asked this week if the Chargers pipe in crowd noise, head coach Mike McCoy said “We’ve done that before here, yes.” As for Raiders games in particular, he said “We have done it in the past.”

The questions continued as to whether the Chargers would pipe crowd noise in this Sunday, and McCoy said “We’ll see. There’s always that possibility.”

For those wondering if piping in fake crowd noise is legal, that gets a bit hazy. Stadium sound systems aren’t supposed to do it during game play, though many teams still do. The Atlanta Falcons didn’t have a 5th round pick in the 2016 draft and were fined $350K for violating the league’s rule against piping in fake crowd noise back in 2015.

In the Chargers’ defense, piping in crowd noise is nothing new in the NFL. The Chiefs did it when they reached their supposed NFL open air stadium crowd noise record a couple years back. It was against the Raiders late in a blowout win and beat writers on site said at the time the noise record was set, the stadium was half empty. But if a falsified unofficial noise record is where you hang your hat, more power to ya.

:wtf1:

It's only illegal when the Suit says so? o_O

I hope Carr doesn't lift a finger over the next ten days. The receivers should stand in front of jugs machines for the next week and get blasted at 100 mph.
Why? It's not like Carr can throw the ball any faster than about 5 mph in a nice rainbow fashion. I don't think we win another game until his finger is fixed. Am I only one who sees this the last 2 weeks? Dude can't toss the rock. Oops, actually, toss just might be the right word...

The Chargers will not have starting running back Melvin Gordon for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders at Qualcomm Stadium.

Gordon has been ruled OUT after suffering hip and knee injuries in last week's loss to the Panthers in Charlotte. Undrafted rookie back Kenneth Farrow will step in to the starting rotation for Gordon.

It also likely means former SDSU star Ronnie Hillman will be active for his first game as a San Diego Charger.

sounds like the appropriate place for Travis Kelce to spend a long, distinguished, loooonggg career..:rotf:

I hope Musgrave has an answer for that press the Chiefs did to us in the 4th qtr... man, they put everybody on the line and disrupted our WR's... got right in their grill... we couldnt do shit

According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, the Raiders are "very optimistic" DE Mario Edwards (hip) will return against the Colts in Week 16.

Edwards probably could have played this week but coach Jack Del Rio decided to play it safe by giving him another week of practice reps. Per Caplan, Edwards had a "very solid workout" on Saturday. Already equipped with one of the game's elite pass-rushers in Khalil Mack, the Raiders are going to be downright scary with a healthy Edwards at their disposal.
