FS - SS (DRAFT PROSPECTS)

+1

The hybrid type players are trending now- teams are trying to combat modern passing attacks and the big mobile TE's, and we got one in our division in Kelce.. Although surprisingly we pretty much shut him down compared to what he did to other teams.. held him to just 40 yards in one game and just 10 in the other considering he was getting like, 80, 75, 100 yards in most games so we did exceptionally well vs Kelce-

A lot of it was probably JDR knowing this division, to be honest. I'm still impressed with what this staff did schematically and game plan wise in Division games. What burned us, was our youth versus a more experienced, and a very well coached Chiefs team. Reid's got a great staff. Pulling Smith from them, adding experience for AC/DC hopefully gets us over that hump.

Yeah I saw this too. Looks like he's boom or bust play to play. His highlight videos are polar opposites. Honestly man, Red to me, has improved tremendously draft wise. Scouts have been on point. The only pick last year I was like WTF was Fellatio. And maybe he pans out. But last two years top three rounds has been nails. Took chances later some hits some misses. Overall, top 5 drafts back to back years IMO. This year he has a lot of flexibility. Has a staff that knows what they want. I'm not even worried bro. I really think the first three rounds we are gonna be like, yup, makes sense. And be satisfied. Probably guys we have all been talking about.
I'm guessing it won't take long for BR.net to liken Red's 2016 draft to Red's 2013 draft if Red takes a couple of flyers early.

Unless Zeke's available this isn't the draft to go for home run players. We'd do well to get as many lunch pail starters as possible and take care of depth for the next couple of years. Hopefully Red has 1.14 on Craigslist.

Yep. The standout players should be gone by #14.

Better to grab as many as we can. If someone develops well, we'll look super smart. The rest should be good enough that we won't look dumb.

I almost wonder if Reggie has the balls to move into the top ten for a guy like Miles Jack if he falls to say 7. the fit would be great and we get the impact guy. It'd likely cost us our 2 but I'm ok with that if it means a Jack or a Ramsey. plenty of good safeties to be had in round 3.

That's not Reggie's M.O., trading up. He likes to stockpile picks. A safety being chosen in second round by Raiders is closest thing to guarantee in this draft.

Can we say for sure that we know his MO at this point? He's been a lot more philosophically diverse than I expected.

to this point. but what we have seen is when available he goes for the guy he thinks is a stud. its the first time he's in a position where moving up makes sense. he's been diverse from the GB philosophy. Also its the first time our roster looks like it could handle losing a premium pick to acquire a premium player.

Definitely agree here. We have not seen him in enough situations to say what his M.O. is. I'd like to think he'd pursue a generational talent if he had the ability to get him. But at the moment, I think that would be more likely if our roster had fewer holes.

I prefer a trade back this season to grab numbers and push for a standout next season if one is there. I don't think this team is deep enough to sacrifice our draft picks yet.

Don't see the asset at #14 to trade. But perhaps Lynch, as the #3 QB, or Conklin, as the #3 OT, are valued higher than expected. Who knows, maybe Floyd, being the only "bend-the-edge" DE/OLB, will catch fire before the draft.

That is the problem with #14. Who's going to jump up for it? Maybe someone would want Rankins? :sneak: :^

Actually Denver would make sense. They need a QB and Lynch will likely be available at 14. We trade back to 30 and get extra 2nd & 3rd rounders.

Unless this happens:
Maybe that's why the Broncos-Bills-Browns trade was being thrown around.
