There is so much more going on in the books. TV can't keep up with the pace.
They have to develop the new characters as the old ones die off.

It is funny that the TV Gendry plays three of the sons of King Robert from the books.

Both the shows producers and George R.R. Martin have said the show will pass the books up as it is starting to and that what happens is what will take place in the books or at least what George has said he wants.

The Bran / Hodor story is the only one.
If GRR Martin takes another year to release WOW you will be right. Some of this is interesting to watch, like when you know Jamie never goes to Dorne and you're trying to figure out which other character he's mimicking.

Apparently you missed the last minute of the last episode. In the book Ramsay makes Theon fluff her with his tongue first. Well it was really the character who was playing her in the book which she is now playing on TV.

In the book it wasn't Sansa marrying Ramsay it was her friend Jane Pool who the Boltons are saying is Sansa . A lot of the things you see on TV happen to other people in the book. It saves casting money and it's not as confusing .

I down loaded the audiobooks and listened to them at work throughout the years. You don't get a full grasp of everything until the second or third reading. The Bastard takes so long between books because they are so convoluted. Plenty of time to read them again.
