Fuck you Derek Carr

It's funny because I thought he played good against the Panthers and Saints, not so good against the Pats and Bills. Our defense has had 4 shit games so I definitely can't blame him solely for the losses but he sure doesn't deserve praise from those two performances even if the game stats look good IMO.

You just summed up his entire career.

Meanwhile, Herbert looks really good. Exec on Herbert....

“He’s just a natural player and you see that compared to some of the other guys out there,” an exec who rated Herbert highly out of Oregon said. “When you hit on one like that, you’ve got him for a long time.”

Someone said it in the game thread, this is a horrible QB HC marriage.

If we are to have any success with Gruden at the helm he needs a QB that hangs huge dong, putting balls in tight windows that needs to be "reigned in" not an overly cautious faggot.

Gruden wants a player like Josh Allen or Kyler Murray. Unique freaks of nature with elite skills.

The question is how much to mortgage to move up in next year's draft. It will take a ransom unless Raiders completely tank.

-Lawrence
-Fields
-Lance

Those are the guys that will go in top 5 likely. Without an elite QB, a team is just treading water.

I don't think Gruden wants that at all.

Maybe in theory.

I think he's got the perfect type of guy for his offense right now. Conservative, mostly safe, loves short passes, doesnt throw picks, does what he's told, clean off the field, doesnt give him any problems.

A perfect match.

Do what the Chiefs did and go after the guy you want. There’s 3 stud QBs in this draft, give up a future 1st and go get one.

I think he wants a guy with Carr's skills but Gradkowski's balls. Play within the scheme 80% of the time then go out and make a big nut play the other 20%.

Carr makes the big nut play 1 out of 20 times that he's supposed to. That play to Renfrow right before the half against the Pats. The pass to Renfrow late yesterday. But that's not enough.

Should have traded all five of those first rounders we had for Kyler.

Just like @gst8 proposed.

I mean it would have been hard to think of a world without Clelin Ferrell, Donald Arnette and Jonathan Abram but I could have gotten over it quickly.

Start with the QB and work down. All the other stuff is secondary until you have a guy.

Yep. Lots of other teams have traded away multiple first rounders to get a shot at top QB. No guarantees but how doing the way they’ve done it been working out?

This organization hasn’t got the balls to do something that could really make a difference.

I mean I wouldnt even want to admit what I would trade this year for Trevor Lawrence. I wouldnt even have a draft pick until 2032.

He might not be a sure thing. But if he hits you are set for a decade or more like the Chiefs or Packers or Pats or Seahawks.
