Some dude off Reddit with a bunch of leaks from the Obi Wan and Cassian Andor live action shows.

Same guy who brought you the Rebels sequel information, earlier this year. I am not KRT Have sources. So lets get into it. The Kenobi casting news I mention here that is coming soon will hopefully validate some of this post as soon as possible.

All shows both animated and live action that are set from the end of Revenge of the Sith and towards the Mandalorian era will have cross over characters and events which may or may not be building towards a bigger plot line that will eventually pay off. But these plots still largely stand on their own, especially Kenobi which only has minimal connections to the other shows, bar a few characters and organisational elements.

Cassian Andor

  • You can expect to see Forrest Whitaker back as Saw Gerrera in multiple episodes. We get to see Saws early Rebel cell in full on action.

  • Clone Commando Gregor played by Temuera Morrison will cross paths with Cassian early in the series. I heard conflicting reports whether he will recur or not.

  • An interesting thing to note, is Cassian has a severe hatred of the Clone troopers similar to the Din Djarins initial hatred of Droids.

  • Cassians sister was killed by a Clone trooper who mistook her for an enemy combatant.

  • Dryden Vos will make an appearance. Cassian has to enact a job for him in return for information for the Rebels.

  • Ahsoka as played by Rosario Dawson will appear sparingly.

  • Wolffe and Rex will make limited appearances, this connects to their appearances in the Bad Batch series. Morrison will appear quite frequently as Rex in Ahsoka's own live action show.

  • There is an Umbaran soldier, who was a veteran of the Umbaran campaign. He serves to show a more nuanced view of the Separtists alongside Cassian.

  • Vader is planned for season 2 in a limited capacity.

  • Tarkin will appear quite frequently.

Kenobi series

  • There are no issues with the script, there have been some changes made since Harold took the reigns. It was a matter of structuring the series. But it has since been resolved.

  • As I mentioned before regarding connections. Crimson Dawn and other criminal organisations connect to this series. Though Maul is never made aware Kenobi is alive by his organisation for obvious reasons and other reasons that will be made clear.

  • Some big casting news coming either this month or September for Kenobi is the return of Uncle Owen played by Joel Edgerton.

  • Though the BIG news that will surely make prequel and TCW fans excited is the inclusion of Hayden Christensen and Temuera Morrison as Commander Cody.

  • Hayden will appear as Anakin in two lengthy flashback scenes, as will Ahsoka, younger Rex and Cody.

  • Anakin will also appear in visions talking to Obi-Wan when he is alone.

  • Young Luke will appear briefly.

  • There is touching scene planned for Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex and Cody to appear in Dex's diner showing them as friends on their off-time during the war. Morrison will be de-aged digitally for the scenes as Rex and Cody.

  • Morrison will also co-star alongside Mcgregor and Edgerton and Cummings as an older Commander Cody. He is not an antagonist, and how this will come to be will be explained in the Bad Batch series. This was all suggested to Harold by Dave Filoni. Who I will mention is an advisor on the series. Yeah, Temuera Morrison is really getting a lot of work, his schedule will be full on Star Wars for the next few years.

  • Hondo is a main character and will also make an appearance voiced by Jim Cummings and played by a stunt actor. Why he doesn't mention post ROTS Kenobi apart from the ''I think we were friends line'' will be explained.

  • It's all set on Tatooine apart from the flashbacks.

  • Kenobi, Cody, Uncle Owen and Hondo are the leads and are set to team up and make quite the team. Why Uncle Owen does not like Kenobi will be answered.

Take it for what it's worth but seems credible enough.

So apparently the word now is that the Kenobi show is a limited series.

Well, it can only go so far.

I guess it depends on the scope of "limited". Presumably 1 season.

Eight 30 minute episodes basically allows for a singular story arc. I wonder if their moving most of it into the rumored Crimson Dawn series. Maybe set the character up and then use him to guest spot in other series. Works for me.

The info that you posted before seems like it could take up a full season.

Probably. It's mostly speculation I guess but what makes sense to me is this one is used to set the character up for periodic usage in others. Although maybe their doing the Marvel thing where they set up a common story through individual releases except on TV rather than the theater. Just seems odd given there's no indication The Mandalorian or any of the other series are expected to be limited. No biggie, just idle chatter really.

Yeah but the Mandalorian’s story is still unknown. Kinobi’s story is pretty well known and fairly limited.

Which is exactly why I wasn't really interested in a Kenobi series in the first place. To me it fits better with him doing cameos in other series such as Crimson Dawn.

Regarding the Mandalorian, I don't know why I never paid attention... or maybe I did but the baby Yoda character just didn't interest me that much but the timeline for the Mandalorian is just a few years past Revenge of the Jedi meaning prime Luke Skywalker is out there somewhere. What makes that interesting is that the working assumption of returning baby Yoda to his "people" meant returning him to the Jedi. Given the sequels have already happened hopefully that means opening up another story telling universe.
