Pipes on pipes on pipes.

Saw them in concert. My buddy fell asleep and we left early. “In This Moment” was better in every way.

Fuckers have had me on a Down listening spree for the last couple of weeks.

Seems like an Anselmo type of year.

My son likes RHCP and just bought himself a bass. I heard this song of theirs on the radio that I kind of like and has a cool bass line to it. Turns out it was Soul to Squeeze. But in my search of YouTube I find this song I had never heard. Kind of cool.

Brings up a possibly interesting conversation: What are your favorite deep cuts by a band. Like, there’s 4 or 5 AC/DC songs that everyone can go, “Oh, yeah... that was a massive hit, love that song.” But what’s further down in the catalogue that you just fucking love? It doesn’t have to be super, super obscure... just not necessarily a “hit.”

Incidentally, my deep cut for AC/DC would be “Rocker.”

Kind of related. I have a hashtag I use . #songsyouhardlyeverhear I usually use it when I hear something on Sirius. You hear a couple bars and your brain wakes up and says, "dude ,we know that song". It's pretty cool.

Was gonna ask this very thing before NST got nippled. This is the song that brought it to mind:

Never gets mentioned, but it was always a favorite of mine. Mick Mars was doing his thing here.

Similarly, Zack Wylde got off on this track.

My Iron Maiden deep cut is absolutely the pre-Bruce Dickinson Maiden’s mild hit “Running Free.” I play that song and people ask “who is this?” Because I am a dick, I say, “guess first.”

Not a bad Skynyrd cover.

Running Free being called a deep cut cuts me kinda deep.

Fair. It’s one of those “if you know, you know” kind of deals... but a LOT of people don’t know, apparently.

Megadeth deep cut: The entire Hidden Treasures album. Fucking gold.

Kinda like the "That's not Metallica " type if you play something pre- Black Album.

Yeah. Those people exist. Or they did back when that album was hot.
