Random Thoughts

Moved my mom in with a month or 2 back. Still going through her boxes of "stuff" She doesn't want to get rid of anything. So we're just boxing back up and sticking it in the unfinished storage space under the house. Haven't even gotten to the boxes of clothes she has. About 1/3 still have fucking tags on them since she hasn't worn them yet. SMH. Is 10am to early to start drinking.

Yeah I'm not advocating rioting/looting-- I just understand where it's coming from. It's obviously not something that can be condoned.

Imo the country has real problems and has been riding an 80-year high of being effectively the dominant world power. Those days are coming to an end. There are now fundamental problems in this country and if the view of strip mining the remaining (vast) wealth of the country continues, it will lose its fron-runner status in the world very soon.

Same here. The black community is stuck a catch 22 situation right now but the concept of societal contract is unique to the individual. Especially in terms of perception of when/where it became broken. I understand what Noah was trying to convey but I’m not sure he did justice to the complexity of the topic.

If you throw hands at a cop, I don’t have a problem with reasonable use of force. If somebody started throwing haymakers at me, I’m swinging back.

Okay, that isn’t exactly what happened here... but the point remains. I do not advocate police escalation of physical violence as a general rule but if you feel like initiating a fist fight with a cop, you kinda get what you get.

Guy that does some sales for me lives near Broad Street. Said there were rumors of Antifas coming in his neighborhood. He said most people are packing whether it is legal or illegal.
