Where is this forum going from here?

Been a member here since 2018 but only began posting in the last couple of weeks or so. Seems like a nice enough forum with some decent discussions. Unfortunately the Carr talk will never cease until we win more games than we lose and make the post season or until he is traded or gone.

Covid talk is the hot topic of the day and will likely touch on politics as long as there are mandates that come dangerously close to unprecedented restrictions but should be easy enough to keep civil without name calling and such.

I`m relatively new here so I am on my best behavior at the moment.....wait until you really get to know me lol

We've been going at it like cats and dogs Sleet. I've had much worse fights with my own brother though.

I appreciate this place and @CrossBones for providing the forum. I’ve stayed out of the Carr thread for months and feel like I’ve had a more positive experience for it. All Covid discussions feel like they turn political even when they aren’t intended to, I’m just going to refrain from those too. I’m not changing anyone’s mind about it, everyone has their own set of facts these days and that’s the weird world we live in now. So I’d suggest a Covid thread is still just a bomb waiting to go off, but it won’t be set off by me, I’m out on that.

Man the Mother’s Day thread just puts everything in perspective.

I try not to start too much shit and i take my lumps in stride. Thats been my MO since the kffl days when @Crow and @Raider Bill were the only negative voices. Like every year - I think we have a chance. Weve got real linebackers. I dont know the last time i could say that we had more than one for more than one year since howard and morrison? We've got a lot of potential at wr and proven playmakers at rb and te. Weve got a good ol. Weve got a young dl with at least one stud on it. Weve got a young highly drafted secondary with some vet pieces thrown in. At this point we just need young guys to step up. If they do... we could make a run. A schedule that doesnt fuck us right from the get go helps. Year 3 of Gru n Guenth. Mayock getting gems in the draft. Smart FA pickups.

Lets get a vegas party kicked off right

But seriously Mr.Bones, I appreciate this place a lot. A lot. This week though I get in some dust ups on the FB. And what it keeps coming down to. What I had to insist on on "my" page was to be fucking nice.

Some friend. An ex coworker started calling people that lean left idiots. Libtards. I told him voice his opinion. No name calling. He changed it to liberal idiots. That was Friday. Last night he started up again. I told him fuck off and get lost. He said something about my hurt feelings. I didn't care. You can't be civil then fuck right off. Piece if shit.

Anyway sorry to make it political but it was to make the point. Everything is just so galvanized. No black or white. And honestly people are freaking out because of all this virus shit. Some people are scared. Some people point that out. I think everyone is to some degree. So finger pointing starts. Thus place is supposed to keep us from all that.

Honestly I can't keep up with all the players and draft picks and schedules and haircut drama. I usually just go to the random thread and see what's happening. Since even the discussions on new players can get heated. I'll just wait for the games to start and add some gasoline to the dumpster fire.

It works with some members. Others it doesn’t. They have to have the last word. Or the classic “go get on FB” or do a “blog” because I don’t want to debate over a subject that I already know we don’t agree on...
