short but fiery. Led fbs is passes defended and ints over last 3 seasons. Plays like hes a much bigger player. Basically only knocked down because of size. Likely a nickel in the nfl.

Nice pick. Guess DA likely gets a crack as a boundary CB.

This guy puts LJ on the bench and it’s a helluva pick.

Drafted some nasty CB’s last two years. Mullen is a feisty fucker too.

Me likely.

So, Mullen, Arnette, Johnson, this kid, Lawson and Maybe Joyner.

A 4th rounder is not going to put a $10MM player on the bench until games are actually played. And probably not at all in the 1st season.

I meant “if”. THEN it’s a helluva pick.

Not sure Gruden cares about what Joyner makes. He’s got the clout to bench whoever he wants.

He traded Mack. He traded Coop.

You think he won’t bench the guy who gave up more 1st downs than possibly any other slot CB in foootball?

I think he likes Joyner. I think Joyner is HIS guy.

But I don’t for a second think he won’t pine him if there is a better option.

I hope Joyner gets it right. Seems like a good dude. Plays hard. Plays feisty. He just got beat, or confused in coverage all too often last year.

DJ says he is the best slot corner in the draft. Should have let Joyner go

Think he’s guaranteed some $.

They probably hold onto him until he really plays his way off the roster.

'Louisiana Tech has two defensive backs, Amik Robertson and L’Jarius Sneed, that could be chosen in the Draft. When do the final mock drafts say the former Bulldogs will go off the board?

Robertson, a two-time All-American for Tech in college, has all but cemented himself as a draft choice this year, but the question is what round will be taken? The 5-8, 187-pound cornerback finished his three-season career at Louisiana Tech with 14 interceptions and 48 passes defended, coming into the NFL Draft as one of the top corners statistically speaking.

Following his simulated Pro Day where he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash, Robertson felt good about what he put on tape for the NFL scouts and executives.

“After going through surgery and all the things I still had to overcome, I showed the tough mindset I have through it all,” he said. “I feel like I’m one of the best DBs in the country, but I won’t be until I prove it at the next level. I can’t wait to prove to everybody that I belong.”

Several NFL Draft analysts project Robertson to be Day 2 third-round round pick, but Pro Football Focus has the Seattle Seahawks selecting him at the last slot of the second round at 64th overall.

Former NFL scout Bruce Plummer attended Robertson’s Pro Day and said that it’s possible that Robertson could end up being a second-round selection with his performance and numbers.

“What he ran, I think it’s (a second-round number) or he could be higher, depending on what a team is looking for,” the scout told The News-Star. “I think he helped himself. I could see him being taken in the second or third round. Teams looks for guys who fit what they do.”

NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has Robertson coming off the board early in the third round at 70th overall to the New York Giants via a trade with the Miami Dolphins. USA Today Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling sees the Tech star corner as the 77th overall choice by the Denver Broncos while the Athletic’s Dane Brugler and CBS Sports’ R.J. White has Robertson being drafted 84th by the Los Angeles Rams and 88th overall by the New Orleans Saints, respectively.

Matt Miller of the Bleacher Report sees Robertson as a Day Two prospect but dipping to the fourth round with the Indianapolis Colts picking him 122nd overall.

Walterfootball.com projects Robertson to be a Day Three draftee, slipping all the way to the sixth round at 211 overall for the New York Jets.

Sneed, the former Louisiana Tech defensive back, lit up the Combine back in early March, running a 4.37 40 as a few NFL Draft analysts believed he might have run his way up to a Day 3 selection. Other national pundits appear to not be sold on the former Minden star being drafted.

For the analysts that see him hearing his named called, the fifth round is the consensus. CBS Sports projects the rangy 6-foot, 192-pounder being taken by the Washington Redskins at 152nd overall, while the Athletic’s Brugler has him going 156 overall to the San Francisco 49ers and the Bleacher Report’s Miller predicts the New Orleans Saints will pick Sneed at 169th overall.

I still have K.Nixon making the team at CB too. He looked promising developmentally.

#1 Mullen
#2 Arnette / Johnson
NCB - Joyner - Roberson - Nixon

Room for another border CB w size
