But then as you point out he sat on his hands for 5 years and couldn’t evaluate talent. He was a lousy negotiator and the fucking dumb owner just rode that broken down horse. A lot of the reason this franchise is in the toilet. The Idiot kept that slug for 7 years. Incredible I know.

I was thrilled with the trade when it happened. I thought it was a huge win for us. I felt like I was in the minority at the time. I am really glad that it seems to have been a great trade for us. I don't think it gets done where we get anymore. We squeezed as much juice as we could get imo

Mayock arguably drafted 6 players in the top 64 in terms of on-field production. The next closest (NYG, Wash) only got that type of production from 4 rookies. 20 1st round picks fell out of the top 64 altogether. At least Ferrell played to his mid/low first round grade when compared to other rookies. Mayock made up for that lost value with Jacobs, Crosby, Mueller and Renfrow.
