Do they go with a reclamation project like Winston/Mariota/Cam? An old guy like Brady? Or all-in for Herbert/Tua/Love/Eason?
 
Makes sense you could see Rivers is done on the field... should retire. I bet they draft Herbert or Love or Tua depending on how it shakes out.

Glazer is usually spot on. Rivers is cooked. They are either going all in on Brady or finding a placeholder while they draft their new QB.

Either way they are drafting a QB.

I'd say the only way they "don't" draft a QB is if they end up with Teddy or they think Mariota/Winston can be the future. But if they go hard after Tom or don't add a "realistic" option to start you can bet its QB in round 1.
 
many are mocking tua to them at 6, I saw one draft where the saints get him. If we pass on him with both our picks I'll be pissed

Fuck that noise. Wouldn't touch him in round 1. OVER-RATED. He benefited from one of the most stacked teams in college. He'll an NFL starter at some point - but I see him much closer to Geno Smith type prospect than say Pat Mahomes. Left handed is going to be an issue for some teams. Injury concerns. He can run a vertical type offense but his read/react is a step slow from NFL standards. I'd honestly rather gamble on Herbert if we went QB in 1. But we won't so lets just wash our hands of it now.
 
If Winston doesn’t throw 30 picks that’s a pretty good team.

But, Rivers aggressiveness and decreasing arm talent is causing him to turn it over also.

Still, they won some games late. Have a lot of talent if you look at their roster. Might be a sneaky playoff team next year.

That seems even more likely now with Rivers out of the way.

I was wondering if he (Rivers) would wind up in Carolina for a year but I guess he moved to FL. Sounds like he’s already spoken with folks there.
