Satisfactory [edited] post bungles we barely won the game thread.

it was totally Carr like, we’re just lucky he didn’t get hit before he went in as it was a fumble waiting to happen
Before that, he stepped in and out and around DL, finding room, then went straight to goal line. Can’t recall him making people miss before.

Maxx was cool. Offense was mediocre at best.

When the NFL starts assigning style points to games, I'll care. A "W" is a "W." This was a team that couldn't buy six wins a season ago, regardless of opponent. Last season, they would've found multiple ways to lose this game. They didn't. On to the Jets.

The defense gets us the win again...

And who among us, at the start of the season, thought we'd be saying that? Especially after the way the defense was gashed by MINN and the KC Mahomes early on. The defense is keeping this team in games? End times.

Don't forget Rodgers in week 7.

Not satisfying to have played this one close, but it was a W and all in all some good takeaways from today... D played well, Max was a beast, rookie corners had some nice PDs and the Mullin pick sealed it. O just wasn’t sharp today as there were too many critical mistakes. Gabe didn’t play well and gave up a bad sack though Atkins can do that to people. And it was probably K Miller’s worst game of the year with a sack (or two?) allowed plus a holding penalty that was a drive killer. Waller should have had a TD but didn’t sit against zone. Carr again played very well but had the one bad Int. Jacobs with another solid 100 yard game. Renfrow just catches everything and is 3rd down clutch.

Have to love that Mad Max came off his big 10 QB pressure game vs Rivers and backed it up with this monster 4 sack performance. Looking like we’ve got ourselves a real DE right here that should only get better.

And this rookie class is looking better each week. Jacobs with 100 yards, Moreau with a TD, Renfrow with several big plays, Mad F-in Max, Ferrell with a nice PD, PDs and Int for Mullin, PD and solid play from I Johnson. That’s a shitload of contribution from the rooks.

Gabe Jackson hasn't played well since he's come back. He may be medically cleared, but he clearly is not himself.

On the positive tip, overall, this may be the most productive rookie class in Raider history. If Maxx Crosby keeps this up, we may need to give him an extra "X." Trayvon Mullen and Isaiah Johnson may quickly make us all forget about Carrion Conley. Even Dion Jordan comes in off a Greyhound bus and contributes.

I doubt that the Raiders are going to beat out KC for the division, but the fact that they're even in the conversation shows how far this team has come. If they do find their way into the playoffs, expect to hear some COY buzz for Jon Gruden.

BTW, just watched Carr’s scramble TD. That was so un-Carr like. Wow.

What scared me was when he extended the ball momentarily even after he'd already crossed the goal line. I could just see a defender slapping the ball out of his hands and a zebra calling that a fumble. Given his history, I really wish he wouldn't do that.

Seems like teams are starting to crank down on the offense a little bit though. Might want to look at some deep shots this week because NY’s run defense is going to be tough.

That was to be expected. The more hype this Raider team now gets, the more opponents are going to get up to play them. In terms of their youth, their attitude and the way they like to attack the game, the Jets remind me a lot of the Raiders these days. It's going to be intense.

Roster still has serious holes but the young guys are showing up. We still need a wr, a guard, a few LBs. But in theory we’re getting back Key, abrams and maybe Kujo for the defense and have tons of cap room.
