Satisfactory [edited] post bungles we barely won the game thread.

Seems like teams are starting to crank down on the offense a little bit though. Might want to look at some deep shots this week because NY’s run defense is going to be tough.
Yeah, it's time to start zigging while the NFL defenses are zagging to our system.

The best passing play today seemed to be bringing T.Williams across the middle or Waller from the middle to the outside. The Bengals played their front really flat and by running Williams across deep and Waller to the corner, there were a few openings for Carr.

we need to throw deep off play action more when they are loading up to stop the run. We never do it on first down

Raiders team today that I saw didn’t look like a playoff team.

Offense looked poor. Line didn’t play great. Defenses stacking up to stop the run.

Raiders better pick it up.

I know we all wanted a blowout win but I'm resigned in the fact that this team's makeup just isn't going to be winning all that convincingly this year. We're built to keep things close and win close battles. We could've won by 2 scores if we didn't have those turnovers. One way or another 6-4 feels damn good.

Crosby has to be the steal of the draft at this point. He's playing as well as any defensive rookie and got him in the 4th. Fucking love it. It's crazy our best offensive and defensive players are rookies (Jacobs/Crosby). Crosby brings that swagger that gets the guys around him jacked up. Dude is just a treat to watch out there.

Jacobs with just another good game. Went over 1,000 total yards on the season today. Bengals were working our OL but Jacobs still went over 100. That early fumble sucked but it's his first of the year so I'll forgive him.

Speaking of the OL, what the fuck was that? Hudson and maybe Trent the only two that were decent. Kolton/Richie/Gabe were getting worked. Better get that cleaned up. Bengals had 11 sacks total coming into today...

Carr was decent. The INT was bad but he was pretty good other than that. OL wasn't doing him any favors. Can't believe he didn't get clobbered on that TD run. offense as a whole needs to step up.

Renfrow making plays again. Moreau with another TD. Mullen with an INT. Ferrell had a few 'almost' moments with a PD and TFL. Mix that in with Crosby/Jacobs and the rookies continue to produce.

Nice to see Dion Jordan get a sack in his first game. We played him a ton at DT in that Nascar formation... I didn't see Ferrell inside today so maybe Jordan is going to fill that role.

Our LBs are so bad. It was hard to watch today. Count me in on the Isaiah Simmons/Dylan Moses/Kenneth Murray train.

Waller with some big plays again. Really want to get a WR1 in here to take attention of him next year.

6-4 at this point is just awesome. I never expected to be here 10 games into the season but it's been a fun ride. 3 game winning streak with the Jets coming up. It'll be another game we 'should' win but we need to get our shit together.

That didn’t include today’s game. He’s going to move up a few notches

‘Member Bobby ‘dadgummit’ Bowdens 4 tier stages of a new program?

** Tier 1: lose big
** Tier 2: lose close
** Tier 3: win close
** Tier 4: win big

Takeaway? Last year we were in Tier 1. This year (so far) it looks like we skipped Tier 2 and are currently in Tier 3. Next year is the year for the 34-13 Wins..

A couple of weeks ago, I started thinking of this team as similar to our 8-8 squad from 1998. They’re all close ones. We lose some we should win and we win some we should lose.

  • Max Crosby was an absolute terror on the field tonight. They had nobody who could block him.
  • Josh Jacobs broke Marcus’ record for 100 yard rushing games by a rookie. The red zone fumble sucked but he was still a stud.
  • Carr will probably get murdered on this board over the interception, but 25 of 29 is pretty damned sharp.
  • Waller and Williams both had good games.
  • The offensive line did not meet their usual standard (although Atkins and Dunlap have been ballers for a long time now).
  • When they picked up the flag for the helmet to helmet on the Waller reception, they were correct to do so.... but how did they miss the fucking face mask?
  • Ritchie was not offsides!
  • And Waller was absolutely pulled down in the end zone on the next play.
Man, 6-4 feels good.

Go Chargers!

From NFL.com

Is this good? @007?

The Raiders rookies are atop their rookie class this season. They lead all teams' rookies in touches (270), scrimmage yards (1,676) and scrimmage TDs (14). The Raiders are the first team since 1970 with at least seven rush TDs and seven receiving TDs by rookies in the first 10 games of a season. Josh Jacobs had his fourth game with at least 100 rush yards, more such games than all other rookies combined. Maxx Crosby had 4.0 sacks in the Raiders' win over the Bengals, the most sacks by a rookie in franchise history
