Clelin Ferrell is a bust

I think they've got a decent shot at going 8-8.

The schedule is relatively soft in the 2nd half of the season.

David had the fucked up fumble yesterday, but overall he is playing better than last season.

Joshy is cranking it out.

Oakland is going to beat some folks, as they already have.
Homer.

(can't win, eh?)

What a world we live in hey?

A good take stating we might get to 8-8 and we would probably all be happy with that.

8-8.

After 20 years of rebuilding we are here hoping the soft second half schedule gets us to a .500 record
Correct. But hey at least we won't be picking a guy with second round talent in the beginning of round 1.

Well we all thought we were gonna be 5-11 looking at talent on the roster.

And we thought we’d be 1-5 right now.

It’s not as bad as we thought. I predict further investment defensively come draft time and in free agency.

We aren’t winning shit until we can at least slow down a good offense.

See the War Room LB thread for more info but....

You draft a 6-3 250 LB guy who runs a 4.5, is a physical rundefender, can drop in deep coverage and can rush the passer on third down from a three point stance and not be a liability in the run game, and put him at SLB, leave Morrow in the middle, move Whitehead back to the weakside and and take him off the field in Nickel, leaving this guy and Morrow on the field, it would be a fucking night and day difference at LB...

He’s gonna compare athletically to Dallas’ LVE....

He wears Maize and Blue on Saturday, and two cans of Pringle’s on his shoulders EVERY day (watch the PSU game at the end)....

Josh Uche...

Please Mayock...give us something we’ve wanted for a very long time.

He has replaced Simmons, and moved ahead of Chassion as my OLB Jihad...

Mayock is gonna LOVE his tape.

Rodgers had the best game of his career. His fucking career. And that was throwing to third stringers and a hobbled TE. Fuck Guenther.

But, it’s a DIFFERENT re-build.

The clock is reset upon hiring of a new GM.

Sacks plus QB hits for first round edge players.

No. 16 pick Brian Burns 15.5
No. 2 pick Nick Bosa 14
No. 7 pick Josh Allen 14
No. 26 pick Montez Sweat 5.5
No. 4 pick Clelin Ferrell 3
No. 29 pick LJ Collier 0

But he brings "leadership".

Who's the dumbass that liked LJ Collier in the draft? Oh, it was me.

So... go ahead and disregard pretty much everything I've said about the defense to this point.

Mayock should've taken Allen. He was consensus better player and was significantly more athletic. I've said this for years but you don't let coordinators or position coaches pick players. Pick the best player available and tell the coach to tailor the scheme to that player.

He also is not small or thin like Burns. Mayock, Gruden and Guenther so over thought the room. Classic example of where a draft guide outperforms a team’s braintrust.

Yep, I like big junkyard dog type DEs but those dudes are hard to find. Better to find guys that can rush the passer and build around their other shortcomings. Although Allen is probably doing fine all around.

Allen was a leader/high character guy for UK.

Cue NFL draft GIF.

hopefully we get to look back on this thread and laugh in a good way but not feeling it.

Many on here wanted Sweat as well and hes done fuck all by looks of it

We got some scrubs on defense, but Guenther just isn’t that great of a DC. Our offense made a couple mistakes, but 2 turnovers shouldn’t mean 42 points Aaron Rodgers be damned.
