yep.Allen with five sacks so far. Mayock screwed the pooch.
He has to learn to not listen to coaches. Fuck “fit” at #4. Give me the best athlete/football player combination. No SPARQ, no #4 pick!Allen with five sacks so far. Mayock sdewes the pooch.
He didn't participate in the Combine. Was he hiding his measurables? You don’t draft non athletes in the top five.
I feel Gruden was working his own rust off last year.Gruden is putting together decent game plans with bubblegum and duct tape. We’d be leading this division if Guenther was half as good.
For his game, he has to get bigger and stronger. Fill out that frame and find some power. Right now he looks like a college kid playing against men.He didn't participate in the Combine. Was he hiding his measurables?
I remember watching the National Championship game and thinking he had impressive power but he looked very stiff. He CANNOT bend the edge. I'm not a scout but it was clear to me watching him. My gut said that Guenther wanted a guy that held the edge. Mayock gave him one. Except that same guy will be limited rushing the passer, and that's where you rank premier rushers.
Measurables + production = elite player.
Ferrell absolutely had the production but his measurables define his potential. He's not racking up sacks against inferior ACC opponents anymore.
Yep. This is where the coaches have too much influence. Mayock now has some experience and hopefully will push back next year.Dudes been irrelevant.
We picked him up cause he fits Guenthers vaunted scheme.
smfh, but Guenther doesn’t have good players.
We all assume he did push back. Maybe it was his pick? Jacobs was gruden.Yep. This is where the coaches have too much influence. Mayock now has some experience and hopefully will push back next year.
My bias is that Mayock is too smart to pick Ferrell #4 overall. Yet, blame goes on Mayock but I think he was overtrying to fit someone into Guenther's scheme. I just can't see Mayock seeing what we saw, a stiff, non-explosive DE that is mainly a power rusher and take him #4.We all assume he did push back. Maybe it was his pick? Jacobs was gruden.
Yeah. Leadership is way the fuck overrated. Bosa is a prick and asshole. So what? Dude crushes it when it counts. My bias is that Mayock is too smart to pick Ferrell #4 overall. Yet, blame goes on Mayock but I think he was overtrying to fit someone into Guenther's scheme. I just can't see Mayock seeing what we saw, a stiff, non-explosive DE that is mainly a power rusher and take him #4.
Never did I hear Mayock say anything about Ferrell's explosiveness. It was always "he was a great leader and produced at Clemson."
Cutting back and giving the scouts one?Let’s scout that game this year. We’re taking three players from that game.
You run this board, right? It’s exactly what’s supposed to happen with this team. Can’t believe we probably blew 1-4.
That isn’t supposed to happen.
Maybe he will be a late bloomer like ol boy in Tampa??
they have some edge passrush talent on that line so he's not alone... but point takenAllen with five sacks so far. Mayock screwed the pooch.
Ahhhhh...On Thursday, the National Football League announced that Brian Burns has been named NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month for the month of September. Burns, a First-Team All-ACC selection with the Seminoles last year and the No. 16-overall pick in the 2019 Draft, has 11 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks and nine quarterback hits through the first four games of the season.
4.5 sacks and a touchdown... ::sigh::
