12/05/2011 - Miami Hurricanes defensive tackle Marcus Forston declaring for the NFL Draft didn't cause big ripples. The surprise was that wide receiver Tommy Streeter decided to join him and sign with agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to CBSSports.com's Bruce Feldman.
Streeter will start off as a projected third-round pick by NFLDraftScout.com. But at 6-feet-5 and 215 pounds, he has the potential to be a workout warrior. Right now, his rating is based almost solely on potential.
Entering his junior season, Streeter had only five career catches. But he exploded for 46-811-8 in 2011 as he became high school teammate Jacory Harris' favorite target. The big key for Streeter will be his workouts - he doesn't have a verified 40-yard dash time yet and this year's receiver class has the potential to be quite deep. If Streeter doesn't run in the 4.4-second range and otherwise work out extremely well, he could easily slide into mid-round status. For perspective, the late-bloomer wasn't rated among NFLDraftScout.com's top 20 junior wide receivers all year. - Derek Harper, Executive Editor, NFLDraftScout.com
Could be a good replacement for Chaz if his workouts don't push him out of range. Allegedly ran a 4.4 when he got to Miami. Doubtful, but a low 4.5 is a good time, especially for a guy that size.
Apparently the guys from The U have decided to abandon ship.
Mort is reporting that Kalil and Barkley are jumping to the NFL.

I was hoping he'd stay another year so we'd have a shot...
RobRang Filed to @CBSSports Stanford OG David DeCastro will leave for the NFL following this season.

Why does this matter to us...these are all guys that will be gone by the time we draft.

A couple more 'Canes enter...
RE: Why this matters
A)Because the more underclassmen who enter means there is more talent being pushed down the draft boards.
B)We're about to be eliminated from the playoffs in a couple days, so this is the most interesting news.
Rob Rang is reporting HB's boy DeCastro is in.

That guy would have been a great fit for this team. What a horrible time to be without a first round pick!

Can find good OL in the later rounds. I suspect we'll also be active in FA next offseason

Not a dominant prospect like that. He would have been perfect between Veldheer and Li'l Wiz...or as a replacement for C.C.

Carl Nicks.
Josh Sitton.
Chris Snee.
Jahri Evans.
Ben Grubbs.
Chris Dielman.
Louis Vasquez.
Brandon Moore.
Dont be an idiot. The 'top ten list' for guards includes more late/mid/UDFA's than first rounders.
Guards are found ALL OVER the draft, not just in round one. For every Iupati, Mankins or Davin Joseph you can name 5 guys taken later on who are just as effective. We're not talking about franchise QB's or elite WR's here. We're talking about big, nasty interior lineman.
Two beasts from New Orleans on that list there. We need to borrow one or two of their personnel guys.

Here's a lit bit of a surprise:
Matt Barkley - QB - Player
Pete Thamel of the New York Times reports USC QB Matt Barkley has informed teammates that he's staying in school for the 2012 season.
With the lower money contracts that 1st round picks now get, we may see more of these guys staying in school to catch all that flying punani thrown at them...

Still shaking my head at the notion that this putz thinks himself so special that he needed a press conference to announce that he's staying in school. Fag.

So he talked to Leinart and still made that dumb ass decision? OK...good luck.

Isn't SC's bowl ban over? He is staying to elevate his status for next year. He probably would not have been a 1st Rounder this year, but with some bowl glory next year, he could very well go near the top. My guess anyway...
Barkley probably knows he's behind Griffin and Luck and thinks next years class at QB is weaker. (Which it is).
Now these calls always backfire, but who knows...

A guy that should not declare early is Vontaze Burfict... Dude is playing like ass today after closing out the year on a bad note... If he comes out, he may be there when we draft at the end of the 3rd...

A while back I said that we had been sending scouts to most of Az St's games, they just showed a stat that Az St is the most penalized team in college football.
Go figure.

What what?
He's at worst a top 15 pick if he had come out. Possibly top 3.
Yeah Barkley is a stud, USC hate or not.
Take Luck out of any draft and Barkley is battling for the first pick most years.
Luck is really that good. And Barkley isnt too shabby either.

Barkley's numbers are better!

I think Barkley has more talent around him at USC than Luck does at Stanford. That's why you have to be careful looking a college players (QB's especially). Sometimes the other talented players around can make them look better than they actually are.

But, Luck had a really good running game this year so I think that is why his passing numbers weren't as good as Barkley's. They were good, don't get me wrong but Barkley's were slightly better.
Both had unreal completion percentages: Luck 70.0; Barkley 69.1
Barkley had 3528 yards; 39 TD and 7 ints.
Luck had 3170 yards; 35 TD and 9 ints

Congrats. You finally got someone to admit you sometimes make a valid point. ;)
Syracuse DE Chandler Jones declared.
Intriguing prospect. 6-5 265 has a Quintin Moses vibe to him though, LOL.
Mohammud Sanu, Whitney Mercellus and Jonathan Martin are in.
A whole lot of talent entering today.
Fletcher Cox is in.
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/01/mississippi_states_fletcher_co.html
6-4 300 pounds.
Moving to a 3-4 you say?
Montee Ball should declare soon according to Tony Pauline. He's a good replacement for Mike Bush if we lose him.
Stephen Gilmore is apparently leaving too. A good DB prospect who had a down year.

I think Montee Ball is staying in school...
I have a sushi lunch bet with someone that Vontaze Burfict is not going to go in the 1st... I win two lunches if he makes it to the 3rd round...
A) I think you win your bet. Burfict is your classic head case who had a terrible season.
B) I think its better than 50-50 that Ball goes pro. Mind you there is a couple weeks till decision time. He could change his mind five times. (Mohammed Sanu was staying for his teammates up until a day ago).

CBS' @RobRang on #ArizonaState LB Vontaze Burfict: "I think he's as overrated a prospect as there is in the country."
He reminds me of the young, immature highly volatile version of Bryan Cox... Can be a player if he ever stops being his own worst enemy...
Alshon Jeffery and Stephen Gilmore are in.

Things are moving now...
6-8 QB Brock Osweiller is going in. Brilliant move, IMO.
-Landry Jones and Barkley stay in and someone needs to step into that #3 QB spot-
Dwayne Allen is entering the draft. He immediately becomes the top TE prospect.
Luke Kuechly is in. He's the best ILB prospect in the draft.
6-4 215 WR Stephen Hill from Georgia Tech declared. He broke Vinny's favorite players records last year by averaging 30 yards per catch. I have a feeling he will blow up at the combine and climb a shit ton.
RT Bobbie Massie declared.
RB-Edwin Baker from MSU declared.
Purdue Dt-Kawann Short is in.
Wisconsin OC Peter Konz is in.
First rounder if the health checks out, IMO.
Alabama:
*Kirkpatrick
*Hightower
*Richardson
LSU:
*Claiborne
*Brockers.
Brockers is the best DL in the draft. Damn I kind of wish we had a first rounder now, LOL.
Eric Page from Toledo is in.
He had 125 catches last year.
Bryce Brown expected to enter too. If you dont know who he is, google him. LOL.

McKenie sounds like he puts a premium on late rounds / UDFA...
So there's that haha...
SIU (Yes, thats a school) RB Jewell Hampton.
BC DE Max Holloway is in too.
Looks like some questionable talent is coming out. Close to 50 people are declared so far.
***Some may wonder why we would care about these kids, but the more JR's who declare means more talent gets pushed down the draft/UDFA pipeline when we actually pick***
How the fuck you gonna name your baby boy Jewell? The fuck is wrong with mothers?
