The playoffs are unexplored country for Texas. It's not over, but they need to acclimate themselves in a hurry. I don't hate the Yankees; I'm just tired of them.

Being an Angels fan I fucking HATE the Rangers! I hate the Yankees too but I hate the the Goddamn Rangers even more.
I don't like either team, but I just pulled for an underdog that friggin CHOKED.

You say they suck, but I don't think I've ever been more pumped up for a pitching duel in my entire life. It's gonna be a low scoring game 1 in the NLCS.
That's my prediction.

But seriously. There's only one team I wish absolutely NO success to, the Yankees. When I stumble upon the news of who's playing in the World Series, I hope it's Texas versus San Fran. That way, either team might be able to win their first.
Dodger fans won't be able to hold their rings over Giants fans' head anymore. And Texas will have ended their futile existence. Nice story. Too bad no-one will have watched the series, but that's another story.

Not only that, but the team is likeable. Not just a "Barry Bonds" team anymore. There are a lot of players who are "small" guys. Likeable.
My favorites are: Torres, Panda, Huff, Uribe, Burrell, and Posey. My fav. pitcher is Matt Cain and my favorite closers are Brian Wilson and Santiago Casilla. Awesome team.

How can you make a list of favorites without including Aaron Rowand? That guy is old-school, balls-to-the-wall, hustle all the way! I was sad when we traded him to Philly. I always had a love/hate thing with Uribe. That guy has to be he streakiest mofo in all of baseball. There are times when he can carry a team for a week or so, then he falls off the face of the Earth. Love the "jazz hands" when he connects with the long ball.

I'm not an orthodox baseball fan. My Grandfather used to have this baseball hat that was half black and half green with the Giants logo on one side and the A's logo on the other. I loved it when my Grandfather would wear that stupid hat.
